So I managed to just finish Oryx about 30 minutes ago (yay gratz), I went to go loot the chest only to realize that TWO weapons had dropped for me but I couldn't loot them because my inventory was full. Even with the four primaries I carry and the 3 arms day weapons I also carry, because for some reason you cannot store these in your bank for some odd reason, I managed to pick up two primary weapon slot engrams during the course of the fight, thus giving me full inventory in the primary slot.
Attempting to start removing some items the unthinkable(or oddly expected) happened, my sub par internet stopped working. I still got credit for the quest and the achievement, but those two weapons sitting in the chest where still in the chest even after I disconnected.
I thought, "hey no big deal, I can rejoin the group I'm with." Well, apparently they all got removed from the instance, so even if I wanted to join them to check the chest again, for some reason they were removed from the raid.
Then I thought "hey, I bet the weapons are in the mail box like other lost items." Well, apparently raid drops are not treated the same way as engrams and there was nothing in the mail. Why are raid items not treated like engrams? This is confusing to me.
Therefore, those two primary weapons are apparently gone forever due to terrible luck with my internet and what is potentially a huge game design/loot issue with loot distribution in the raid.
So lost story short can anything be done about this? Is there an item recovery ability that Bungie has? Is there a way to get back into the raid in some way. Does destiny even have Game Master like other MMO's to deal with issue like this?
Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. If I'm posting this in the wrong place let me know, I've never posted about something like this on these forums before.
