First off and for starters: overall I'm very pleased with the sweeping changes to Destiny in the second year of its inception. I honestly believe this iteration of the game is closer to my original expectations pre-launch over a year ago. In saying this, there are still some things I have problems with, but what I'll be bringing up today is something I've noticed since the 2.0 patch.
Strike playlists no longer drop players (randoms) in and out like they used to. For example, I've been in this Shield Brothers strike by myself for an hour now (probably). I've had enough time to cook dinner and make sure I stay in the strike by toggling my controller. All the while waiting for Destiny's matchmaking program to drop new guardians into my fight. It has not. This is not the first time I've noticed this. I have been dropped solo into strikes before, but the frequency of such has increased since the patch. Its really inconvenient. I'm not a bad player. I'm competent. However, I know my limitations. I'm no FPS/Halo/CoD twitchy-fingered, spider-sensing guru. I don't want to rage-quit this strike. I want to finish it. With people.
Otherwise, why the hell would you claim I can play with others? Now, yes, of course, I could just invite my friends, but they're all busy. Or at work. Or on opposite sides of the world. If I wanted to search through my friends list to do a strike I would have done a Nightfall instead. Basically, I am wondering if this is just a localized problem I'm experiencing or if its global and you guys (Bungie) are aware of this. Its honestly kind of ridiculous to be in a group (PvE) content and not have a group because two people left or their connections dropped or you were dropped in solo. In any event, I hope this gets addressed and fixed. I realize its not a huge thing and more of an inconvenience, but still. It makes the memory of old "wounds" flair up. I doubt I'm alone in this.
Oh, and I apologize if this is in the wrong place.
