Hammer of Sol beats Shadowshot, for everyone wondering. Oh, you'll cancel the super for sure, but you'll get one-shot by a hammer before you can quite land the tether. It's not a very satisfying trade.

You are most definately doing it wrong. You don't go head to head with them. It's called nightstalker. Not gunslinger.
-
The difference is that Hammer of Sol has to be activated. Shadow Shot, like Nova Bomb, doesn't require activation. You just fire it. It's easy to spot the big flaming Titan running around. Shadow shot is a 'surprise, you're dead' sort of thing. And tethers are meaner than you think. Check out this clip of me using tethers to kill 3 players. https://onedrive.live.com/embed?cid=161E84E6D50295E1&resid=161E84E6D50295E1%21217&authkey=ACMgcONZTViA_EM

You are using shadowshot wrong, tethers have a delay time, you must shoot before seeing the titan (use shadowshot like a trap)
-
If you get killed by the hammer before you can shoot then you have the reaction time of a sloth.
-
No you can hit the sunbreaker. It doesnt kill him and tethers take like 3 seconds to activate and kill the super which gives him time to oneshot you. He can still live and continue on while you just wasted your super only to cancel his super and still die.
-
You mistake is that you want to hit the sunbreaker, you must anticipate sunbreaker, shoots to the ground or a wall (shadowshot is a trap for supers, not a -blam!-ing golden gun)
-
And if the sunbreaker never walks into range it gets wasted. So not only did you just die, but you also failed to stop the super. You always want to hit your targets in pve otherwise they will walk out of it. Shadowshot needs to cancel super on hit with the tethers canceling supers too

Edited by EddieRot: 9/29/2015 6:52:10 PMSurely you use quiver, use blackhole if you want cancel supers, the range is greater than a nova bomb, you should use the class properly, nightstalker is a support class and you want a golden gun 2.0
-
It's a support class, you're not supposed to solo anything
-
Getting rid of the super is enough, it is a support class after all.
-
Or when there in the animation

1 out of 5 instances I beat HoS with shadowshot, golden gun, nova bomb, stormtrance, or FoH. Face to face when it comes to the speed of the draw, shadowshot is disadvantaged due to the fact that their super is reactive vs the HoS proactive super. Simple fix being to break line of sight and get the upper hand. http://xboxclips.com/FlYiNgCrIpPlE/d5cd5217-bc75-434e-b06c-59d484436357

Edited by Jurassic_Wow: 9/28/2015 11:39:49 PMThat's still 1/5 or 20%. That means the Sunbreaker killed you 4/5 times or 80% a huge amount. That's terrible. It should depend on ability just a little. a good player should be able to take out a Sunbreaker if they are caught off guard. It takes a whopping 6 normal melees to kill a Sunbreaker. That's an average of 3 more than the other supers. It should really be a 45% or more win chance. I shouldn't have to be put at a severe disadvantage because I'm not a Titan. Any other classes super is easily counter able. I think the Sunbreaker needs a small nerf
-
Well I've killed like 2 SB's with normal gunfire and around 2-3 with my super. I've seen about 15 in my time playing. When you see or hear one, run, its saved me quite a bit.
-
That's the problem. If the best way to escape from a super is just to run away. That super is OP. I've killed a few with my super or ran away. It's just that I feel so helpless against a Sunbreaker
-
No, supers shouldn't be able to be taken directly head on. Most of them can't be unless you have proper distance from them anyway. But like I've said they can be killed as I've done it without a super.
-
Whatever I said, I meant I killed them 4 out of 5 times. Not the other way around
-
Oh! That's much more impressive. Killing Titans 1/5 times is way harder. But in the video you did 145 damage with a golden gun shot. Your teammate was the reason you got that kill. Usually it would take 2 shots to kill the Titan. So there was a lot of luck involved, but you have to admit 7/10 times if this is a 1v1 between the Titan and you. You will lose. The Titan will one hit you due to a lack of armor and the Titan will survive due to the over abundance of armor. It highly depends that you play with a competent teammate. Something that's hard to find.
-
There was barely any damage done to him. However I have never not one shotted the sunbreaker. They can survive once damage fall off starts, but close range I believe it's still a one shot. My point being, if you know how to bait and dodge, even if it's a two shot, I out perform sunbreaker the vast majority of the time.
-
It's impossible to get a one shot I'm sorry. I've tested this in a few rumble matches. It's impossible even at point blank. The max possible is 180 out of the 200 it takes to take a Sunbreaker down. If you did take them out in 1 shot then there was a team mate helping you. All it takes is 1 shot of the Suros regime and a golden gun to take that Titan mid-Sunbreaker.
-
The point is that Sunbreaker is not invulnerable as people are crying over. If a Hunter can take him down in two GG shots, it's no different than wrecking a Defender shield, which takes the same number of hits. A Titan is SUPPOSED TO BE TANKY.
-
Edited by Weeza: 9/30/2015 12:40:48 PMJust stop this! a tank deals less dmg than a dps class is that what you want? And a titan can never hold aggro of a boss unless he deals more dmg which doesnt make sense if he is supposed to be a "TANK" and gets aggro for dealing more dmg than the others ...
-
Again, I'm watching people bring down Sunbreaker Titans with relative ease. You kids are just crying because again, you can't stand to die in a damned game.
-
Most people dont cry about the super itself its just the dmg reduction is a bit too much my titan has not even all perks and i dont play with the new gauntlets because of it looks and i can wreck entire teams specially in elimination and 3vs3 it is too stronk :)

No one gives a damn about the Trials of Osiris. That mode is full of hackers and cheats anyway; it's just as corrupt as every other "competitive" game, and the players are just as toxic as they were in CoD. That mode is utterly irrelevant due to the toxicity of the community, and nerfing for the sake of a broken game mode has zero validity.
