None of it is accurate.
Every point that the OP made is accurate because it's happened to me. So I'm not sure how you can say that everything is wrong just because you can't deal with a Sunbreaker. There are others too such as jumping and grenade counters. Also, Bungie did everyone a favor by coming up with the Hammer sound when Sunbreaker activates. Opponents know exactly what to expect and a smart team or player is going to be ready. Not having the element of surprise really hurts Sunbreaker.

So you are saying Sunbreaker is balanced simply because it has the same drawback that Gunslinger and Bladedancer always had (an activation sound) even though a Sunbreaker is everything that a Gunslinger and a Bladedancer are combined into one class? Sorry dude, it is broken. That's why it is so fun to play in PvP.
-
Fun does not equal using something completely broken to me. So we'll just have to disagree about what fun is. I don't know how you define balance for a Super. I wasn't making the argument that it's balanced on account of a sound effect but was simply pointing out that Sunbreaker gets countered all of the time and telegraphing it doesn't help (it's much more discernible in a match than either Gunslinger or Bladedancer imo). Sunbreaker is vulnerable, you can evade it easily, and you can counter it just like every other Super. How can it be that broken of a subclass when I've experienced first hand, that it's not? Every situation that the OP described happened to me while I was using Hammer of Sol. Every single one. So clearly combining elements of Gunslinger and Bladedancer doesn't by itself make a Sunbreaker more overpowered than either one. It didn't make me any more effective in the Crucible than I was as a Striker or Defender.
-
Then, frankly, you are playing it wrong, because Sunbreaker has a rather sizable lead in average K/D over striker and defender, and over every other class since TTK came out. Whatever your perception might be, Sunbreaker is wrecking it in PvP comparatively speaking. Additionally, to your point, just because a counter exists does not make it as effective of a counter. I guarantee you the ratio of those counters he listed being effective against Sunbreaker is far smaller than the ratio of successfully executed counters against the other classes. That is why the Sunbreaker now has the best K/D in crucible in the game.
-
It could be me and I don't know all the stats on k/d between subclasses. How does it compare to the top Hunter and Warlock subclass?
-
It's pretty brutal, where the average of all whole classes is a K/D of 1.0, the Sunbreaker is coming in at 1.08, 8% better.
-
That's fairly significant but do you think it indicates a broken subclass? Or is the fact that it is 8% better than the current top class change your perception of it?
-
I definitely think it indicates a broken subclass. In particular it corroborates the community perception. We are not just crazy, it really is better. That is significant because from the standpoint of a product made to please users, when the product is in some way pissing off a huge number of users and THEN you get actual data supporting the perception, you have a problem.

Maybe it's just fun to watch you cry over everything you die to.
