How the -blam!- are people getting 297+ blues?
Seriously? I can't get anything above 295 to spawn. The highest purple I have gotten is 298
Edit: This includes CoO
Edit 2: I am at 291 light I usually get equips anywhere between 265 and 292 light equips. This included CoO (even in tier 3), decoding engrams, and Heroic Strikes. I do however appreciate that people are at least trying to help me out with this.
Edit 3: Went and ground CoO since I had a ton of runes. Got up to 294! Really do appreciate the advice people.

I didn't start getting blues above 295 until I broke 300. But I'm also RNG unlucky.

Keep using your blues to get your purples up. Or put on all your highest light regardless of rarity when you decode. Drops are +/- 20 light of your current light. Decrypt, check it, if it's higher put it on then decrypt again. I go up a few light each time. The final grind to 300 is real though.

1 ReplyHighest blues I've got were 298. It's totally random and seems pretty rare. Your current light level determines what items will drop at. Even though I still constantly get like 260-280 blues when I'm at 301 light

Highest blue I got was a 299 scout. Used it to infuse of course.

9 RepliesDecrypt everything with your highest level char exclusively and take advantage of benefits of moveable gear (guns and ghost). You can use one character's stuff to level up same slot for other characters (ie warlock gear to level your titan's purple gloves). I have gotten up to 298 blues from CoO and know they drop as high as 300. Stick with it!

I find i get better engrams from end game activities. So CoO... but mainly the raid, i get my best blues from killing ads in the raid. Also try the nightfall.

Use exotic double ups to infuse as much of your gear as you can. It helps. Also remember to always be at your highest possible light when decrypting engrams. And decrypt one at a time so if the new gear you got is better you can equip it and increase your chances of better loot for the next engram. I always try and do legendary/exotic engrams last as they're what I want the higher stats on. Hope this helped? Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know.

The higher you get the better your chances. Also the nightfall quest and depose the court quests will give you a 300 weapon and armor piece. Though your best bet is to give the raid a shot, the first couple parts aren't difficult and you could get a 300+ ghost.

I actually got a pair of 300 cosair feet on my hunter from a blue engram , I was a bit in awe.
