How the -blam!- are people getting 297+ blues?
Seriously? I can't get anything above 295 to spawn. The highest purple I have gotten is 298
Edit: This includes CoO
Edit 2: I am at 291 light I usually get equips anywhere between 265 and 292 light equips. This included CoO (even in tier 3), decoding engrams, and Heroic Strikes. I do however appreciate that people are at least trying to help me out with this.
Edit 3: Went and ground CoO since I had a ton of runes. Got up to 294! Really do appreciate the advice people.

It's random but also having your light level above 300 helps. If I'm not busy trying to complete quests or bounties when it's time for me to decrypt engrams, I will put all my highest light level gear on to increase chances of getting high light level gear. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

The higher your light the more you'll begin to see higher drops. in occassion 310 weapons and armor exotics can drop.

Got a 300 leg piece (blue) yesterday for my Hunter, infused to my legendary boots :)

Got a legendary 299 scout from a blue engram when I was at light level 275. Also got 299 blue gauntlets from crucible. Got a ton of crap drops as well. It's all rng.

just being a high light lvl and decoding engrams ALL RNG. Got a 299 rocket earlier and was perfect for getting my purple one up to 299 :D

Lately all my drops are in the 260-270 range.( if I use a Antiquated Rune and get the drops, they go up to 280'ish, but are of no help) beaten Tier 3 COO several times, crap for drops. I have 6 exotic engrams in my vault waiting until I hit 300. It's starting to look like I'll never get to use them lol. Gotten up to the 2nd raid boss, even every chest and secret along the way, no drops to help, all moldering shards.

If you put in the tier 3 rune im pretty sure its a guaranteed legendary. Might not be but when i have ive gotten good legendary gear

I got a fusion rifle rare at 299 lol I got it from a strike.

If you are 290 or higher 290+ becomes more rare. Try being 289. Also, court of oryx drops the highest so do that
