I haven't gone through the forums to see if anyone has already posted a thread about King of the Hill (Please link me, if so.) I wouldn't doubt that anyone hasn't but if not, then I will continue with my topic. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a King of the Hill game mode in Crucible? Whether it be Free for All, Skirmish, or 6 vs 6! The hills would be at various locations throughout each map with a given time duration on each hill spawn. Either there will be a specific location for the initial hill and random for the rest of the hills throughout the match or just randomize each hill, one hill at a time. A possible variation could be that for each hill spawn, they become different in size. Although that seems over the top, I think it would make Crucible a little more interesting and challenging. The number of guardians on a team that are in the hill will multiply the amount of points earned. If at least one guardian from both teams are in a hill at once, then that would make the hill neutral, so no points will be given to either team. I wouldn't know how to implement the point system or the score limit. Maybe if the hill is controlled by a team, the points will register after every 5 or 10 seconds. For example: A guardian from Alpha team has control of the hill. After 5 seconds, he/she has earned Alpha team 100 points. If another guardian steps in and another 5 seconds pass, that score earned is doubled, so they earn an additional 200 points, which sums up 300 total. 1 more second until the next incoming points, but an opposing guardian sticks his foot into the hill. No points are earned for both teams until one team has pure control. Should a hill be a duration of 30 seconds, maybe 60? Is 5 seconds too short to register points? This can be put into many, many types of ways. I want to know what are your thoughts on this. Any ideas, add-ons, changes?
