Bladedancers were the bane of the crucible in fall of 2014. Invisible, damage reduction, fast, and instant killing. Till people figured out Felwinter's Lie and Fist of Panic. People found the counter. Most of the time it was a powerful shotgun with 1 or 2 shots would stop a bladedancer.
Bladerdancers and Sunbreakers are the same thing. You are just seeing more sunbreakers because they are new. There are plenty of counters to the Sunbreaker. Its just going to be a while before people settle on the best.
1. Hammer of Sol is broadcasts itself clearly- consider running. That titan is going to be aggressive, out run them or hide and then ambush them when it wears off.
2. Nova Bomb or Fist of Havoc-Yeah, they will just get killed out right with these cancelling supers
3. Shadowshot- Silence them, this turns off all supers
4. Rockets are the answer to everything.
5. SNIPERS- If shotguns are the answer to the bladedancer snipers are the answer to a HoS. Hammers fall quick and are only useful up to medium range. If you are killed at long range by a hammer... they got lucky or you didn't move.
6. Good old group fire.
All these tactics except snipers will work well on a Sunbreaker, just switch sniper with shotgun and they work well on Bladedancers too.
EDIT: Bladedancers were barely touched in the year they have been out. and when the most significant nerf happened it wasn't to the class or the super it was to a jump ability that is used by 2 classes. Bladedancers still have a great super for PVP and just like Sunbreakers are average in end game PVE. The damage reduction of the bladedancer is more than enough that if you don't have a high impact shotgun, super, or heavy, they are going to kill you. Guess what 3 things also take out a sunbreaker? in a super?
EDIT 2: Note there is legendary armor that boosts defense even more when using a solar sub class. If a Titan (who already has the most armor in the game) stacked Solar Sub-Class armor + Highest Defense Rating + Armor Buff when using HoS (which is a % of total armor). YES a Titan can become a super tank. That doesn't mean its broken it means that player has a better build than yours.
EDIT 3: http://xboxclips.com/GHOST+9o5/b6f770f4-fe93-4f9a-8e94-23c5e342e9f1- High Impact snipers require 1 Crit+ extra to drop a SunBreaker in super. However Sunsingers regularly take a shotgun to the face and live https://youtu.be/bq_mPCWeylc. Also lets not forget that group fire is no match for a blade dancer https://youtu.be/LIFFy-OYOUY
EDIT 4: Sunbreakers can barely survive a single Golden Gun Shot https://youtu.be/7-lVT6W9eSA?t=7m Time to Buff GG in PVP. HOWEVER we do not know what armor this Sunbreaker is wearing. There is armor that buffs solar sub classes and/or reduces solar damage.

Except sunbreaker's have a much much more reliable long ranged attack
-
I headshotted a guy in hammer of sol with my shadow of veils and it didnt kill him...

Titan complain about bladedancer: Agreed, gets nerfed Titans complain about ram: Agreed, gets nerfed Titans complain about Axion bolt: Agreed, gets nerfed Titans complain about arc bolt grenades: Agreed, gets nerfed Titans complain about Fusion grenades: Agreed, gets nerfed Hunters and Warlocks complain about Fist of Havoc killing you while you 7 feet in the air: Titans call them butthurt, no nerf Hunters and Warlocks complain about Sunbreaker having too much amour and ask for it to be brought down a little to balance out supers (seems fair since bladedancer was nerfed): Titans go full butthurt defence mode, activate all scrub burners and reply to OPs thread for 8 hours straight calling him an idiot. Never go full Titan.
-
Meh, to me it still is
-
Felwinters was never the counter, it was found verdict or invective.
-
Lol they still garbage , I dodge a hammer of sol 6 times using Shade step it took him his 7th hammer to kill me When I was busy killing someone else then he started to Tbag, But then he met my felwinters and he raged quit like a bitch

Edited by Brandolier: 9/28/2015 6:23:45 PMNone of this is accurate. Sunbreaker telegraphs itself the same way Arc Blade did, but you have just as many shots from range. It is utterly OP. Good luck getting that shadowshot off to silence teh sunbreaker, 99% of the time his hammer will nail you douring the activation animation for shadowhsot. Shotguns do not counter because they can hit you with hammers from well outside of shotgun range, negating the big weakness of Arc Blade. Snipers are not a good counter because Bungie, in its infinite wisdom, took all large maps out of rotation. Snipers are not a counter to a guy coming screaming around a corner and hammering you like Bowser on the world's gnarliest cocaine high. Face it. HoS is OP as hell, it is every good thing about Arc Blade and Golden Gun rolled into one super. I love my Titan, he is fun to play, but he is also broken.
-
Hammer of sol can only die to the head from an spear impact sniper, ldr impact can't kill it
-
BUNGIE PLS NO SUNBREAKER NERF IT IS PERFECT.
-
Fck blade dance and I main hunter. Crucible is way more refreshing now. Blade was cancer, HoS isn't.
-
Bladedancers are easy to kill.... shotgun melee or full auto shotgun or super

Edited by xDeFalt: 9/28/2015 9:17:27 PMBlade dancer and sun breaker are just different versions of each other. Blade is quick as -blam!- with slightly less armor resistance than sun breaker and require to get close. Blink and serious aim assist. Sunbreaker is slower and easy to hit with more armor but can hit from range, hammers lock but it's an arc pattern which at decent range is hard to deal with. Both have health regen abilities and both can walk across the map with a lengthy super time. Both have about 5 or 6 shots depending. Now here comes the part people arent thinking about. Blade dancers have multiple useful perks without their super. Blink Invis 1 hit backstab Bolt grenades Sunbreaker on the other hand are totally tied into their super, their grenades aren't amazing, melee is pretty much standard unless you use the explosion perk for a little extra damage. No 1 hit melee,no blink,no bolt grenades, fast as far as movement but still out classes by blink as far as utility. So I don't fully understand the logic behind a sunbreaker nerf,if you nerf it, the entire class is ruined, again putting titans at the bottom of the pvp list.

Then remember when despite finding these counters arc blade got a huge nerf? Pepperidge farm remembers.
-
I am a warlock so I don't care
-
bring the Bladedancer back to its prime
-
Yeah now it's stupid to use it at all
-
No. Mainly hunters complain now because people used to frequently complain about our supers which are indeed balanced. GG has range and one shot capabilities, but no health buff and a short duration. Arc blade is a quick one shot with a bit of a health buff, but can easily be taken down with a well timed shotgun-melee. Us hunters had to deal with the whine and sass of all the other classes knowing full and well that our supers were balanced. Now we have sun-breaker. A ranged one hit kill super with AoE, a long duration, health regeneration buff, and MORE DAMAGE RESISTANCE THAN A RADIANT SKIN SUNSINGER! No counter aside from another super :/ you tell me if that's balanced.
-
Yes sunbreakers and bladedancers are the same thing except that sunbreaker can tank a gg shot and a sniper headshot... but also has more range than bladedancer...
-
All three Titan subclasses can survive a golden gun shot. Ward of Dawn takes two (to break the bubble and one more to kill said Titan) Fist of Havoc takes two Hammer of Sol takes two I never saw Hunters complain that Ward of Dawn takes two shots before you can get a kill. Because it was a defensive super. But as soon as a Titan gets a offensive super to rival GG they all cry nerf. I've sniped plenty of SunBreakers out of their super, one shot GG them, tethered them and survived, nova bombed, fist of Havoc two at the same time (one was looking the other way and one hit me with a hammer while I was mid animation. Got hail mail for that lol) I even out gunned quite a few HoS users 1v1. Just like with all supers if you don't have your own to counter, you're at a HUUGE disadvantage, you're going to have to use tactics and everything you have available to kill any roaming super. If you die just remember, supers are designed to be OP. And when I die to a super. I don't go and cry and whine nerf that nerf this. I press x and respawn and continue playing.
-
Wat. I never noticed how OP it was. I noticed it got considerably slower and weaker as months went on.
-
Bladedancer was nerfed. People didn't learn to deal with it they complained on here until bungee fixed it.
-
You whined too much against the bladedancer, a class who had to earn its kills with the super, no matter how you twist it. And now are crying to avoid the most than deserved nerf of the new warlock and titan classes, wich are broken beyond belief. I can't get how in hell the betatesting team of Bungie left this madness to reach the final release. Some of my friends say a warlock nova bomb can't kill a sunbreaker...are you serious?
-
Thank you most people on here are retarded
-
Edited by DUVALL_KILL_ALL: 9/28/2015 9:47:24 PMWe need hammer of sol to compete with arc blade
-
Remember when hunters bitched about every little thing... Oh wait, they still do.
