So I finally finished all the crucible quests, and I just want to say, WHAT IN THE LIVING **** WERE YOU A-HOLES THINKING DESIGNING THIS???
OK, so now that I'm done screaming, time for the real rant. When I first read that we're going to have a crucible quest line which leads to nightfall style rewards, I was pretty happy. I mean a sure way to get something neat from crucible? Sign me up.
And then I started doing these quests. It started off simple, just get wins, play this, play that. Then it got worse by requiring me to play every singe game mode, and win multiple times in each. Leading from that it made me use each of the 4 primary weapons. But I didn't just have to use them, I had to get at least 6 kills with them in the match, and then I also had to win said match. I can't express how many rounds I've gone through whether I was always in a bad situation to use a primary I was required to use at the time, so I would finish without getting the 6 kills. Or I would have a 2.0+ kd, mostly with primary weapon, but unfortunately my team would be so clueless that we'd get decimated.
After struggling for hours with the hand cannon portion (used to be my favorite class of primary weapons in both PVE and PVP since before the suros was even nerfed) due to the into-the-ground nerf leading to majority of your shots not registering, I finally got to the last part. At this point I was already tired and very angry at both myself and everyone around me. So I see the next part telling me that I have to win matches, each win is 3 points, each time I go into another match I lose a point. Easy enough, right? By now I got one of my friends that is ok at crucible to join me, and we went into skirmish. Little did I expect that about 9/10 matches we ended up against a l33t-mlg-360-no-scope premade team, while the teammate I would get would be someone using full blue gear that can't tell their butt from their elbow.
So anyways, a couple of hours later I was back down to only 4 points again, and my friend had to go to bed. I decided to brave on and try my luck with control. This time things actually worked in my favor. Each of the matches started off shakey, but then my team managed to pull through, and I got all the wins I needed. Got that glorious quest update telling me to go talk to shax. I quickly make my way over to the tower and talk to my boy over there. Turn in quest, get some weird level 27 legendary rocket launcher. I look at it in confusion since I was already used to getting level 5/15 blue trash, and then I quickly break it as I did with everything else.
But then I notice something strange, there is no more crucible quest. I pause for a second, and then it hits me. Literally the entire time I made myself hate absolutely everything there is to hate about crucible, was literally for that trash level 27 rocket launcher. As I start to load off my rage in chat to my friend, he asks me, does shax have bounties now? Seeing a tiny spec of light in the end of the crazy tunnel I make my way over to shax again, and sure enough, he's got 6 bounties showing. Alright, cool, maybe it wasn't all for nothing.
Then I made a horrible mistake, I looked at what the bounties actually were. And behold, the bounties are LITERALLY word-for-word repeats of all the quests I suffered through to gain access to the "nightfall" rewards. Yes, they once again expect me to win each type of crucible match, multiple times. They once again expect me to go and use each type of primary and win with it. They once again want me to get consecutive wins in order to obtain enough total points. And guess what the best part is? Each of those bounties gives absolute trash by themselves. The only true reward is the questionmark reward from completing all 5 of the weekly bounties.
But you know what Bungie? Screw it, I'm done. I'm not suffering through all that garbage all over again just so that you can through some coins or a 270 legendary item with poop rolls on it in my face. It simply isn't worth it. Nightfall takes what? 20-30 minutes of my time to complete? Why would I want to spend 5+ hours hating my life to get the same trash? I'm just going back to doing PVE for rewards, and pvp for when I want to just shoot people.
I honestly don't know why I'm even making this post. I guess I'd like to warn people against trying to complete all those terrible quests if they don't enjoy them. It's simply not worth it. I guess I'm over with my rant, thanks for whoever is crazy enough to read my wall of text.

Those quests are so super easy, took me an hour to do all of them (queueing side. But I guess some people may find it challenging. Understandable lol
