For my first time I joined a group, didn't tell them it was my first time, kept my head down and my mouth shut and concentrated on not causing wipes. Picked up the mechanics on the fly. I haven't beaten Oryx yet due to time constraints but I'll get it down next week.
If it goes horribly wrong just leave or get kicked, not like you have to play with those randoms again.

That's what I do kinda, I watch all the guides and just jump in and try not to -blam!- up.
