The best part about this new raid was going in blind with my clan mates, and figuring it out for our selves.

I have specifically avoided reading anything about the raid until my clan is ready to go and we can stumble blindly through it because figuring out the puzzle is half the fun.

I don't see how people could ever feel accomplished doing a raid if they get carried by people who have mastered it before, or if they've read and watched every strategy guide on earth beforehand. I used to be pretty scrubby at videogames and had to use Prima guides to beat a few, even that made me feel pretty cheap in the end.

VoG the only fight I knew was Atheon because my first time raiding was with a group at atheon that had been trying for awhile and lost a member. The rest of the vault with my team (which is now mostly my clan) was just figuring it out and having fun and thats why we still play the vault just for fun occasionally today. Its a shame so many noobs coming into the game won't experience the VoG (good on them for not having to do crota IMO). But nonetheless both raids made for a much more experienced player and they were fun.
