I was just reading through my grimoire and had some interesting thoughts..
From the card about Ghosts - "all Ghosts seek out their Guardian from among the ancient dead." This brought up some questions for me.
Does this mean that 100% of Guardians are actually ancients who have died? If so, why do Guardians possess no ascended knowledge from their time while dead? Or is the time dead where the powers come from?
If Ghosts have to speak their Guardian from among the dead, does this mean there are no longer any living suitable as Guardians? What about the NPCs in the tower? Were they simply to busy helping Guardians to become Guardians? Or are they not good enough? If powers do come from time spent dead, does one have to sacrifice ones life to become a Guardian? Perhaps it's even that sacrifice that makes one worthy.
Also, if Guardians are resurrected, can they reproduce? Or do they just not have time for that? After all, Guardians are of different races. The humans could leave it to remaining living humans (if there are any) to reproduce. The same with awoken (I believe they reproduce, their card spoke of Earthborn awoken not being very welcome by the Queen). And I guess Exo could just build more.
I'm curious what people think of this. Please chime in. And if I've made errors, please point them out kindly. I'm only half awake at the moment.
P.S. If you find my original post please comment so I can delete it. Or tell me here how to find the damn thing.
