I'm still waiting for the taken king to be available to me. I own both of the DLCs and it refuses to let me buy it and I'm not going to pay $20 more just to be able to play with my friends.

If you want to buy the $40 version, you'll need to buy it in-game. Select Mars from the destination screen and it should pop up.
