All of our efforts, grind and luck for a whole year wasted, as our old gear is not upgrade-able. Raid gear, Trials gear, POE gear, even exotics... all trashed.
The new light system is horrible, making the game more grindy and meticulous, eliminating customization whatsoever. The infusion system was added as a band aid afterthought, but punishes you by reducing your light level by 20% and eating up your marks, glimmer and materials.
The new raid is worse than VOG and TDB combined, and twice as long. Rather than requiring skill, its just a huge test of patience.
Trials of Osiris is currently gone, and still no private match support or in game ranking. Rosters are still a mess, not organized by alphabet, and clan roster is still nonexistant.
The Taken King - TaKing Away your Gear, and giving you 5000% more grind and nerfs. RIP Gally, Icebreaker, and new Black Spindle

There is customization you can infuse anything you want to the highest level. Op is mad because hes too retarded to beat the raid.

Im a day one player and i love the direction bungie took with ttk. The level system is near perfect now. Most of the good loot is earned. There no more i need luck on my side bullshit. No more 50 runs to get vex.

Sounds like you're new to MMO's. The new light system works infinitely better than the old one, and you really shouldn't expect to be able to effectively use year 1 gear in a year 2 version. Idiot

I was super bitter about the weapon & armor thing pre-TTK. I'm over it. Plenty of good stuff now. Many better in some ways. I disagree about the raid, I think it requires skill and coordination, but I guess that could be considered patience... Sorry to hear you don't like TTK. Could be worse though... you could have NOT bought it and been locked out of everything.

Dumbest post ever. Only one point is valid. TTK may be one of the best expansions/add-ons for a game ever made. It brought back all the day 1 feelings that Destiny originally brought. Getting exotics from year 1 unlocks the blueprint so you may buy the year 2 version with marks. Not a waste. Clan rosters would have been a nice touch, I'll give you that much. In fact that's the only point I'll give you. Hail to the King.

Lol only thing I agree with is private lobbies for PvP. Old gear isn't upgradeable? Who cares? I have better gear, now. Fatebringer was easily replaced by my raid hand cannon. IMO it's way better even if it doesn't have an elemental burn. I just have to wait for hard mode for that.

5 RepliesI'm sorry, wasn't a big complaint about vanilla that each expansion was short on content/stuff to do? Now we have a plethora of quests, weapons, and other secrets to hunt for, but because it takes an investment of time it is deemed "grindy"? You seem to be someone who has never played a traditional MMO before. Old gear is always phased out in order to make way for the new loot. The reforge system was nice but it took away the flavor of certain weapons if all we did was reroll them to perfection. With infusion I can find a weapon that suits me and instead of having to discard it for a higher damage but less desirable weapon I can just turn it into fuel for me favorite one. Marks, motes, and coins all roll out at a reasonable pace and I get them for doing stuff I want to do. Feel how you want, but personally I think your gripes are more targeted towards the fact that you might actually have to try now.

Youll have to grind for newer stuff for the expansion after that! And after that! Oh wait, thats the point. Youre on the path to make your guardian as strong as possible. Im sorry its not so cut and dry to just kill something and everything you own levels up compared to finding items to upgrade certain things. Thinking about it, it doesnt make sense that a gun is more powerful because you killed that lonely dreg by the cliff but it makes more sense *in destiny land* that you infused some magical shard to it to make it powerful...but you dont seem to like that.

1 ReplyI personally felt elated to remove and move on from my old gear. It's easier than ever to gear up, and the grins is more fun than before. It took me a week to get my warlock up to 293, it took me two days to get my huntard from level 34 to light 294. The new system enables you to voting characters forward much quicker than before. Overall, despite the price tag and the unfair treatment of non-payment players, TTK is a huge win for Bungie, a win for the players, and for the game itself. If anything, I'm worried about the quality of the next expansion, because I wonder if we are going to get 2 Crota ends for each TTK...

It's just the way of a good mmo, out with the old, in with the new. Think of how boring this game would be if everyone rocked ice breakers and gjallahorn all the time. As for the raid, I honestly think you're just butt hurt from it. The raid is by far the best I've played. I've beaten it 3 times now, each time teaching a new group. It takes massive team work and individual skill.

How has customisation gone? Infusion now means in theory you could get any piece of legendary gear to a level that's viable for endgame content. Just one point picking on but I'd like to add that I completely disagree with your opinions and think bungie did an awesome job this time around!

Bitching, bitching and more bitching. What else is new on the bungie forums. The new light level system is much more consistent. The new raid is much better and bigger in scope than the past two. It takes skill and patience like any other raid. Please dont try to claim it sucks because you cant beat it.
