How is the Hammer of Sol balanced?

I'm not bashing on Titans, I want to know what makes Sunbreaker a balanced sub-class. We know what makes Sunbreaker a "OP" subclass so my question to all of you is what makes it balanced. Edit 1: Why is this being downvoted? Edit 2: Some of you need to realize that I'm simply asking a question, nothing more.

  • Being a sunbreaker, if you have two people shooting at you from different directions, it can shut you down pretty fast. IMO, either run and don't give them anything to throw their hammer at, or team shoot the crap out of him and limit him to one or two kills which makes it feel like a less than adequate super use.

    • Because the class is extremely mediocre otherwise. No blink, no weapon play perks, decent grenades, almost all perks for the class are buffing the super, etc. So yea the super is going to be strong because that's te only thing going for it

        • We get one OP class and hunters get two. Not to say that FoH or Nova bomb aren't OP, they just aren't as crutch.

          • First off, there isn't a super in the game that's balanced in crucible. Second, their super is really all they have going for them. Same old jump abilities, same old 0 range melee, not much mobility, and meh grenades.

              I think it's fine, Titans are meant to be tanks so the armor is therefore kinda ok

                  • The Subclass is weak, all of it's perks benefit the super, there are few passive bonuses available. This is why the super is so strong, because it has to compensate for the subclass.

                          • Has everyone forgotten about PvE????? It already takes around 2-3 hammers to kill a major in PvE and even with the armor boost I can still be easily killed if I'm surrounded by a ton of enemies. I swear this is really getting annoying. [b]not everything is about PvP, get that through your thick skulls[/b] (mainly directed towards hunters, considering they're the only ones I ever see crying for a nerf).

                            • Shouldn't a Titan have super high damage resistance...they are called Titans for a reason...this is probably what bungle had in mind for them while making them

                              You also have to think about the Sunbreakers other abilities, which aren't nearly as good as a Nightstalker or even a Stormcaller. Nightstalker has smoke grenades that can kill multiple enemies at a distance and with the new exotic gauntlets on, that means you have another smoke grenade on top of a powerful new void grenade, and a side step ability. Titans have crappy melee and crappy grenades. And nothing like side step abilities. Want to know why Nightstalkers on average far outkill all the other subclasses at an equal percentage of classes used? It's mainly because of their other abilities and still their super still kills a lot more in the crucible than the Sunbreaker judging by the latest stats. All this idiotic talk about nerfing Sunbreaker's super when people easily forget about the other abilities of the nightstalker that outshine the other classes. If you want to talk about nerfing, then by the stats, it's the Nightstalker who needs a serious look at nerfing

                              • Because, outside of the magic hammer, there is practically no real use for the class. The grenades are ok at best, and we still have T-Rex arms for our melee. All that we really have is the ability to pull out a magical hammer and wreck some stuff. Yes it's broken as an individual ability. But it's balanced by the near-uselessness of the rest of the class.

                              • Squishies can blink away from slow hammers. Hooded squishies can take our hammers away. The magic squishies don't have a direct counter, but they can hurt us.

                              • We get it. It's the best pvp subclass of the new 3. Everyone has a ranged super now. Get over it. I don't even play a titan often at all and i've never had a problem with them in pvp. I don't come on the forums and cry every time I get killed by golden gun or bladedancer. It's a SUPER. I feel like you guys hate supers in general and you take it out on whatever is new and good at the time. TLDR - supers aren't going away, git gud scrub
