Uh...they have one shot, and if memory serves, that shot does not kill you. Furthermore, if we opt out for quiver, shadow shot does NOT suppress supers.
I have confirmed this personally, shooting a Hammer of Sol wielding Titan right in the face and he just laughed at me while caving in my skull with a fiery sledge hammer.
Your defender suppression grenades can do the exact same thing as well, in case you didn't know.
Edit: correction, apparently it takes two arrows from shadow shot when quiver is equipped to shut down an enemy players super. Thank you to Epix27 for the correction.

3 shots*

It does, I've done that in crucible its just that with quiver you have to let the initial arrow tether the enemy if you shoot another arrow it will cancel the previous arrow you shot

Okay, that's where I went wrong then, I only got one arrow into him before he melted my face off. Thanks for the heads up.

No problem I recently found that as well using it in the crucible needs time to get used to
-
What gets me is the same problem I have with my Warlock lol Freaking shooting door frame and lamps as I try to get some height on players to shoot them with my bow. Still getting used to it currently.
-
I think it does work for quiver but takes a few seconds to kick in
-
I shot him directly in the chest, and saw his HP drop a bit (didn't kill him) and he proceeded to pave a charred path to my teams rift long after I tried to shut him down. So I don't know.
-
My understanding is that the suppression itself doesn't come from the direct hit, it comes from the tethers that come out a second later. I did the same thing, and a friend pointed out that the suppression did kick in shortly after I died. Still annoying though - I think a direct hit should kill in one. From now on I try to tackle them indirectly instead.
-
Not sure, I'll test this if I can, but another guy says the suppression effect happens during the second shot when using quiver.

All three arrows can ohk, and tether after a small delay. Sunbreaker will survive the first shot, so you have to hit them again.
-
Yes, I know they can OHK, just the sun breaker will take two shots as yoy said.
