Sunbreaker is built around a Hammer of Sol. Of course it's gonna hit hard. It's the only strength Sunbreaker has.
Look at Bladedancer:
Arc Blade
Quickdraw
Blink
Arc bolt grenade
Invis
Now look at Sunbreaker:
Hammer of Sol
Sunbreaker is only OP for the 20 seconds the Titan is in his/her super, but here's the kicker, what class isn't OP during their super?

Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 9/24/2015 8:56:21 PMHave you not seen the burn melee or grenades? Also arc bolt is terrible now, just saying. Hardly gets a shield down and has a tiny range.
-
The only decent grenade is incendiary. The ones that shoot flames on the ground are stupid as hell and if you run into it you're dumb. Melee is the same thing as scorch. Big deal. It's a solar subclass. Of course it's gonna have a burn.
-
Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 9/24/2015 9:03:17 PMSo the only thing it has going for it is not just hammer of sol is it? Just said it yourself.
-
Lol how often do you melee in crucible?
-
Quite a lot, how often do you go invis in crucible?
-
In trials, every match. Sunbreaker melee isn't a one shot. You would still have to melee again to kill them, just like you would if it was on CD. It makes little to no difference. If Titans had Viking Funeral like Sunsingers, I'd give it to you.
-
I never said its one shot, neither is arc bolt, arc blade (yes arc blade is not always one shot, if you have high armour it's a two shot), the backstab melee on bladedancer is only one shot to the back against low armour opponents, throwing knife is never one shot, golden gun doesn't one shot a sunbreaker. So all in all whys your point lol.
-
Edited by Skewbz2: 9/25/2015 1:09:17 AMMy point is, there's nothing special about Sunbreaker's melee. It's the same thing as scorch without the shield. Edit: Arc blade is always a one shot. It hits for ~350 if I remember correctly, unless you have armor of light. Edit: Backstab is so broken it procs when you hit them in the front half the time. It also hits for ~250 so armor doesn't matter. Guardians have anywhere from 200-210 health depending on armor.
-
Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 9/25/2015 1:09:50 AMAnd? There's nothing special about the hunters melee, invis or arc bolt either. Tbh blink isn't even that special anymore. Also I've had many many times where I've had to two shot an enemy with arc blade.
-
Read my edit. Blink strike is still broken. Arc bolt is still an easy grenade to use. Throw it in the enemy's vicinity and you hit them. Blink still makes the guardian very mobile and loses the enemy's LoS.
-
Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 9/25/2015 1:28:46 AMBlink strike only one shots from the back, how is that broken? (If you mean arc blade then ofc, it's a -blam!-ing super it should one-shot not two shot) Arc bolt barely even gets an enemies shields down, firebolt literally does more damage then it, and pretty much any jump can do what you described, btw it's also on warlocks lol, but you don't point out what warlocks have, do you? How about starting with void walker since we're on that topic, let's see there's blink, then there's the seeking grenade (I forget what's it's called) which can do the same damage as the arc bolt, but from a greater distance, or one shot an enemy with the exotic, then there's scatter grenades which can be thrown from huge distances and either do the same damage as arc bolt, or one shot with exotic, then there's the super which grants extra health when casting and can clear an entire team if used correctly, and then there's the range melee which can give you over shield. You see how every class has there own op'd qualities yet? Or you stuck to be biased? Sunbreaker is just as op in some ways, the melee is more powerful then hunters, the super is more powerful then hunters, the grenades are pretty much the same as the hunters, there's a lot going for it not just one thing.
-
Edited by Skewbz2: 9/25/2015 3:37:40 AMHow am I biased? I said in the OP Sunbreaker is OP for 20 seconds. Edit: I didn't saying anything about warlocks because that wasn't my focus in the OP.
-
That's why you are biased because you focus on one class, claiming that it only has one good thing, yet we have already proven that there is more than just one thing, then you state your claim against the hunter when it is a fact that the hunter, especially the bladedancer is probably the weakest class in pvp now, given that sunbreaker is now a ton better than gunslinger and the only good thing on bladedancer is quickdraw, that's it.
-
The OP was specifically about Sunbreaker's super, so of course that is going to be focus as well. Now this is getting redundant. I say there is nothing special about Sunbreaker besides the powerful super, which there isn't, but you disagree saying the melee is OP, although the melee has shit range and the burn is laughable and doesn't even compare to Warlock's scorch. You say there's nothing special about Bladedancer besides Quickdraw and I disagree saying Bladedancer is still very mobile (blink), has a strong super, and the grenade is still very easy to use to get off some damage. We are literally (Rob Lowe voice) talking in circles.
-
Finally someone gets it!
-
Arc blade is the WORST super in the game. Blink has been nerfed. Arc bolt is nerfed. Warlocks can get QuickDraw on exotic armour. Sunbreakers are EASILY the best pvp class in the game.
-
Arc Blade is not even close to being the worst. That was an ignorant thing to say. Arcbolt still manages to be one of the best grenades in PvP. Blink is still incredibly viable for mobility and losing your opponent. Titans don't get Quickdraw from anything.
-
Yup arc blade is easily the worst super. Only rivalled by defender bubbles. It's a melee super that doesn't give you enough damage resistance to survive a shotgun blast or sniper headshot. Titans get range on their super, and they can survive sniper headshots and shotgun blasts.
-
Titans are built to be armored and hard to kill, hence invincibility during FoH and WoD, whereas hunters are not. Arc Blade is still powerful and they cannot be one shot by a shotgun unless it's a point blank final round shotgun shell, point blank headshot, or a shotgun melee combo, all of which are extremely rare. More often than not, you got sliced before being able to do any of the above.
-
You sir are a dumb -blam!-. What you are saying is Titans should be tanks. Oh and also they should be one shorting you all day. Really? There bonus armor is like a radiancing warlock using ram and radiant skin. Accept they chuck hammers that have AoE Damage and Proximity. Plus health regeneration. If that isn't OP to you then you must have a small dick
-
Give me a super that doesn't one shot in PvP that isn't ward of dawn or radiance. They all one shot. God forbid, Titan's supers do too! Sunbreaker would be broken if you had to throw TWO hammers for a kill. Damn, that makes sense, huh? How often do you get killed by a hammer in a 10 min game? Twice? Three times? What about every other super? Yeah, exactly. Oh, and they have as much armor as a warlock with radiant skin and the ram? No shit, they're both supers. Warlocks aren't even meant to maintain that much armor. They're glass cannons. Yes, they have a health regeneration perk. So do Bladedancers, Strikers, and Voidwalkers. That comment was just flat out stupid. EVERYTHING has splash damage. Golden Gun can cause them to explode, Nova Bomb has massive splash damage, and EVERY other AOE based skill causes splash damage. What, do you expect us to throw the hammer like a throwing knife? No, you're a -blam!-ing idiot. The best part of you're entire comment, including your terrible grammar and lack of knowledge, is the fact you assumed I have a small dick based on a comment on a forum. You are a child and, without a doubt, the son of butthurt.
Never go full retard.
-
You main a Titan so it's obvious you'd defend the super but on my play station I main a Titan as well and believe the health should be fixed. Btw don't bring old subclasses back as people are all using the new ones. I mean unless they like nerfed ones.
-
Titan is my least played character. I main a warlock, but am not a fan of Stormcaller. What nerfs are you talking about? The 2 meter and damage nerf for firebolt and arcbolt grenades, or the blink nerf? Both are still viable in PvP. Especially blink. Those were the one changes unless I forgot one. Voidwalker, Striker, Defender, and Gunslinger remain untouched.
-
Blink? Dude it got nerfed to the ground! Sure you can sometimes escape but that's it. You can't jump shotgun anymore or jump fire anything anymore. You may suck too much to know but that's huge for half the community
-
Jump shotgun was a crutch. Blink is now about being mobile, like it should have been in the first place. I suck too much? I have either better, or the exact same KD as you in every playlist.
