Three of coins fix.
I just read over the patch notes and was wondering if I could get some clarification on the three of coins fix. The patch says you guys reduced the drop rate for rapidly killing ultras. However does that mean that it is still at the same drop rate as it was before for killing say heroic strike bosses like Valus Tu Aruc or Taniks? Those two take significantly longer than say Draksis. Thanks!
Edit 1: Read through the weekly update and lo and behold the answer I was looking for was right there. Wow I feel dumb lol

According to Planet Destiny, Deej has stated that the drop rate remains the same... Unless you rapidly farm ultras (Draxis).

All they did was make it so you cant kill an ultra 10 times in 5 minutes. When you get to an ultra use a coin and it will stack/drop like normal. Im guessing here, but think of it like a heavy ammo synthesis, 5 min cool down, except you can use just with worse result.

9 RepliesI think it's terrible, the drop rate was not the problem, the availability of as many ToC as you could afford was the root of the problem. A more sensible fix would have been to simply limit how many coins could be purchased from Xur in a given weekend. Just b/c the chance has been reduced will not keep people from farming the crap out of them as they did last week. Smgdfh, epic fail!!!

3 RepliesFrom the sounds of it it should work how they said, if you a rapidly killing ultimates, aka killing it then suicide to kill it again then repeating you have a decreased drop rate of exotics. I assume that playing strikes like normal won't make a difference to the drop rate
