Possible to restart Sword questline?
Short and simple: got the 220 solar sword: didn't find it attractive, so dismantled that thing. Just found out you needed that thing to start the next questline.
Is there a way i can get the quest for the sword reset?
(please don't start talking about alts and stuff, i'm trying to keep it as simple as possible: 1 character, 1 sword, 1 questline) is a questline reset possible so i can just "restart" with the sword, since now i know that the sword is needed to get a better version.
So is a GM able to make this possible?
(helpdesk needed, not other players)

Bungie should make it so that you can buy the swords from Eris after you complete the quest and are rank 5.

That way I have got the highest damage possible in each element covered on each character. It's a little extreme I know because I already have each exotic sword but I'd like to get each one of them on each character... / completionist lol

4 RepliesThere are actually 3 kiosks in the vanguard. The two on both sides of you when you walk in for exotics. But the third is for abandoned quests. Along the right wall when you walk in. Check there for the quest

Like others in this forum I have 3 characters and I want to have the three swords and obviously with the current system is not possible. We just want to get the quest again. This is the first time I dismantle a weapon by mistake. Lest hope we can hear from #Bungie soon.

Based on the most recent weekly update there won't be another patch/hotfix until some time in october. Hopefully we can get enough awareness of this topic to have the quest restartable or the sword purchasable from eris after quest line completion or something.

No. Decisions in Destiny are permanent. Bungie will not undo your sword dismantle, so you will no longer have the ability to begin the exotic sword quest on that character.

I'm a little annoyed that there is no way to reacquire this weapon especially because it's needed to start a quest line. I feel this is something that should be addressed. edit: I have three characters and will be getting two of the three swords. I don't want to delete any of my characters to get the third because it would result in me losing the data and statistics linked to that character.
