It's the best auto rifle in the game right now because of its broken stats.

Auto rifles are traditionally divided into three groups. High RoF, low impact; med RoF, med impact; low RoF, high impact. Red Spectre breaks those rules. As I recall, it has med RoF and high impact. You just need to be able to manage the recoil.
