I bought a game. Destiny. That game came with the features that I payed for, that were advertised for that game. You have taken away the majority of these features for year one players who cannot afford to, or do not want to fork out the money to pay for all of the DLC, especially The Taken King, which seems to be changing destiny into a new game; NOT THE ONE THAT YOU ADVERSTISED.
Maybe check the legality of this all. I'm almost certain that advertising something and then not providing that service is illegal. Removal of heroic strikes for anybody who does not have the DLC is the perfect example of this. As well as any form of challenging strike playlist, ways to get marks in order to do anything in your game and unlock things in the first place.
Your complete lack of regard for this part of the community is atrocious. Not that I think you will do anything about it.

Speaking as an advertising guy myself, your legal qualms won't get you far. I don't recall Nightfalls, Heroic Strikes, or Daily story missions being part of the official advertising in the slightest. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather Bungie throw vanilla players a bone (a low level Nightfall and access to lower tier Legendary gear/year 1 Exotics), but none of this is false advertising and the case would be dropped immediately.
