Dear Bungie,
I know nobody at Bungie is ever likely going to read this, but I needed to post it anyway. I have been playing Destiny since the beta first debuted on the Xbox 360. I've enjoyed the game, and had many enjoyable adventures in your world. I've had a tough year, I've lost long time friends, had my heart broken (twice), and more, but Destiny has been a constant in that time, and has been the one of the only things that has helped me to get through when I felt down. Just this Monday, I found out my twelve-year-old Rottweiler, Max, has terminal bone cancer. I'm devastated. Sometime in the next week or so we will have to put him to sleep. I haven't been able to handle it at all. I haven't been able to get to sleep, so last night as I laid in my bed failing to fall asleep, I decided to boot up my Xbox One and play Destiny. In a short amount of time of playing, I was able to distract myself for a brief moment, long enough to get myself to sleep. While I'm still devastated and extremely depressed about Max, your game is the one thing in my life right now that is at all therapeutic, and as I look back over the last year, I realize how much it has helped me get through. So I want to say thank you to everybody at Bungie for helping me survive through this past year, because it's been a very difficult one.
With gratification,
Tanner Linares
