...You actually don't care if sunbreaker gets nerfed or not!
this post was pre nerf, I really like the striker buffs :)
--------------------------------------
I honestly think sunbreaker isn't that Over Powered, however if it were to get nerfed slightly I wouldn't retaliate.
Here's why!
The entirety of year 1 should be a hallmark for the Titans that managed to do well in crucible in the face of blink shotgunners and supers that simply made ours look obsolete.
I commend others who decided to main titan and stick with it.
People who primarily played as the other classes had never truly acknowledged that striker and defender titans were kind of underwhelming in multiplayer
some people made an exception
saying things like "you have the best grenades and shoulder charge is wayyy too OP dude, you guys don't need a buff. Screw that!" and that's still up for debate. Now sunbreaker seems more powerful in comparison and they SCREAM for nerfs.
To be honest I would rather earn the respect and recognition of other players (even if they're snobs) by beating them with lousy abilities than have them spit in our faces as if we are some kind of cheating scum.
We need to show that we are the better people. Right now is the time of our burning vengeance and that's perfectly fine with me, but if bungie smacks us with their own hammer I would happily be treated like an equal combatant even if it ment becoming lesser.
In the lore, being a Titan means showing honor and respect, remembering the sacrifices that you had to fight through to gain it. It translates pretty well into what Y1 PvP was like. People who just moved over to Titan for sunbreaker might not ever get that sense of mentality.
Edit: I try to reply to everyone, sorry if I seem annoying :P
Edit2: A big thanks for everyone who enjoys my post!!
Edit3: Thanks again for keeping the post alive.
Warlocks and hunters welcome if respectful!

Preach brother!!! You've convinced me to shy away from Sunbreaker in pvp. I like killing guys with the sidearm cause it makes me feel like a boss. I think a defender would do that too. Sooooo I'm in.
-
Striker titan checking in. Titan is love, titan is live.
-
I main a titan, but I'm just a guy named Jake that plays Destiny. There is no "we" or "them"...
-
Hunter main here; striker is amazing now lol since the time to kill increased and shotguns got nerfed people are trying to snipe and use primary...leaving you to ravage them with shoulder charge.
-
Titan here since day one never even tried other classes well said thank you

Edited by Zaldiar5: 10/22/2015 3:36:35 PMWell said man, im a Titan since day 1 and will still play titan even without the sunbreaker super
-
Have only one toon. He's a Titan and he's all I've ever had since the very first day of the beta!
-
Yep I ran a hunter last year and in year 2 decided to switch to a Titan to bring her up to standard. Ive actually enjoyed crucible a lot more. I love running striker for the shoulder barge and fist of havoc, and the obvious hammer of sol. I'm not too bothered about the upcoming nerf, I agree it does need some slight adjustment as re gen health perk is a tad unfair
-
Agreed - mained a titan since I started in Sept last year. Stuck with it even through the dark days in crucible, with an outclassed melee range and just tried to be a better player, sticking with my choice. I have alts but don't use them anywhere near as much. I want to enjoy the game to its fullest capacity and length by playing it with my alts, but my titan is my go to, my home. We should all be working together, all classes as a unilateral force, protecting humanity, protecting the light.

Apparently I'm a salty Hunter. But when Trials comes out I'll become a salty Titan. Just thought I'd make a place for myself now.
-
I made my own post on this previously. All I need are Thagomizers and my year 2 Monte Carlo. Fist of Havoc all day long. That'll learn em!! I'd miss the awesomeness of the Sunbreaker where it's at, but what ever! Briiiiiiing iiiiiit.

Titan since the 25th of September 2014. Woo!

Doesn't matter to me either. A well placed bubble can be just as effective. For some reason people in this game still haven't learned to just avoid that bubble when it's popped....
-
Couldn't care less if I tried,I love my titan even when we only had the original subclasses.
-
If sunbreaker loses a hammer or two.. Ok...but armor... This is the first titan subclass that armor mattered... They arent the worst to kill...
-
Hell yeah brother defenders rule
-
Titan main since I started playing just a bit after HoW. Titan is the best class imo.
-
I've mained titan since the game started and I've been through the metas. I've played as a hunter and used blade dancer as much as its been used against me same with sunsinger. There's times when supers feel overpowered then there's times I use them and they felt useless. Like when I crank out my hammer jump toss and miss the only enemy I see then get plowed by some random super or weapon. On the other hand there's times I wipe a team with it, it's just luck for me a lot of times I try to hold my super till I have a shot at the whole team and still end up getting only one kill with it because of random circumstances. I've personally killed a sunbreaker one on one with my blade dancer so I can't say ones overpowered and another's not they are called supers for a reason, like heavy ammo, in the right hands and the right situation they can be game changing. Constantly asking for nerfs is what ends up leading bungie to tweaking stuff and hurting them more than helping. Everyone hated thorn but I countered it fine with red death, now thorns nerfed and I get my ass handed to me in iron banner by nothing but pulse rifles like red death. New power house metas rise and fall constantly.

You're a True Titan if you played as a Titan before TTK.
-
titan for year one is my main for pvp i loved it they could tank so much then i got into a warlock for pvp using nova bomb i used hunter before everything but i enjoyed others better than a hunter but if youre on a different character an u hear the hammer drop u cant really kill him *easily* like golden gun an other supers are balanced but titan, the supers are good but the perks need to be nerfed just *some*
-
You know what I love? When I'm getting chased by half a team and when I pop my bubble they just stop and rethink their decision.
-
In my personal opinion, defender just had to be used properly. I have all three classes and I once mained a titan for quite a while pvp wise. I really enjoyed one shotting people with ice breaker and 2 shotting with my scholar adept. It was so freaking great.
-
I mained a striker for most of trials but i have fallen in love with my hunter again. Major props to year one defenders in pvp
-
I prefer striker to sunbreaker in PvP anyway. Mainly because people just run now when they hear sunbreaker. I love to shoulder charge into a group on a control flag then fist of havoc right after to clean up the rest. Or use my death from above to take out another super, including sunbreaker. They can do what they want with it. It seems like now people are so used to sunbreaker titans not having a shoulder charge they let me run right up to them. When before sunbreaker shoulder charge was met with a shotgun almost every time....

Another boo woo post
