...You actually don't care if sunbreaker gets nerfed or not!
this post was pre nerf, I really like the striker buffs :)
--------------------------------------
I honestly think sunbreaker isn't that Over Powered, however if it were to get nerfed slightly I wouldn't retaliate.
Here's why!
The entirety of year 1 should be a hallmark for the Titans that managed to do well in crucible in the face of blink shotgunners and supers that simply made ours look obsolete.
I commend others who decided to main titan and stick with it.
People who primarily played as the other classes had never truly acknowledged that striker and defender titans were kind of underwhelming in multiplayer
some people made an exception
saying things like "you have the best grenades and shoulder charge is wayyy too OP dude, you guys don't need a buff. Screw that!" and that's still up for debate. Now sunbreaker seems more powerful in comparison and they SCREAM for nerfs.
To be honest I would rather earn the respect and recognition of other players (even if they're snobs) by beating them with lousy abilities than have them spit in our faces as if we are some kind of cheating scum.
We need to show that we are the better people. Right now is the time of our burning vengeance and that's perfectly fine with me, but if bungie smacks us with their own hammer I would happily be treated like an equal combatant even if it ment becoming lesser.
In the lore, being a Titan means showing honor and respect, remembering the sacrifices that you had to fight through to gain it. It translates pretty well into what Y1 PvP was like. People who just moved over to Titan for sunbreaker might not ever get that sense of mentality.
Edit: I try to reply to everyone, sorry if I seem annoying :P
Edit2: A big thanks for everyone who enjoys my post!!
Edit3: Thanks again for keeping the post alive.
Warlocks and hunters welcome if respectful!

Can someone tell me what pieces of armor are on that titan in the picture?
-
While sure I get salty if I round a corner and get instant-killed by hammers, I don't think the super needs nerfed. At the end of the day it's a super.
-
Not OP at all IMO, I'm a hunter and I've shut down a couple sun breakers and vice versa. It's well balanced
-
"That super kills me instantly and is hard to counter, nerf now Bungie!"- idiots too stupid to understand supers are supposed to be hard to counter and kill instantly. Sure they could adjust the armor boost slightly to make it on par with countering the other supers, but at the end of the day, titans are supposed to be tanks
-
Hunter main here, saying I completely agree with you Sir. I do have to say though, the fist of havoc was a very useful super if used correctly.

-
You are one of the people that truly understand Titans. I want you on my team

The only problem I have with sunbreaker is that it can't be one shot headshot from a high impact sniper (1000 yard stare, LDR, etc). Every other subclass can be in super, there's no reason for sunbreaker to have that advantage. Other than that I think the subclasses are pretty well balanced in terms of risk/reward.
-
I don't care cause I still use Defender on my Titan. I personally hate the new class!
-
Beta titan here, Ive had all 3 characters the entire time but as can be seen from my stats, I main a titan and always will. The hammer has been absolutely fvcking awesome to use. Its nice to have a ranged super for once. Do I care if it gets nerfed? no. I was killing plenty before getting the hammer and will continue to do so without it or a nerfed version of it. Like every gun and ability in crucible, with practice and a good strat anything can be countered.
-
It's perfect tho I'd be a Lil bothered, not even that serious. I get salty when I get shot one time with a pistol, but I'm not gonna be like nerf it. Everybody is already forced to use a shot gun in cruciable almost due to nerfs

I played as a warlock for 900 hours (I had 2 warlocks total). I started as a titan when HoW came out, and I totally fell in love with them. Idk y. I was hyped about sunbreaker cuz I love nordic mythology (Thor, vikings, hammer); I played striker since back in the HoW and trials days and now, I haven't even tried sunbreaker yet cuz I started to love the defender so much in our year2 beta week.... Lol. It doesn't bother me much when I get killed by hammer of sol although I think their damage reduction is a bit too much. A slight nerf would balance it and huntards would finally stop crying... They don't seem to run out of tissue paper yet... Pfffff ;) #titansmasterrace #\m/
-
I don't want it too but I'm not gonna freak if it does I'll just go back to striker lmao
-
I started as a Titan, I will always remain a Titan. The fist of havoc is my favorite super to use. And I mess people up with my lightning grenades. Also I can't forget my shoulder charge and shotgun combo. I have been doing extremely well as my Titan lately. And I don't even have TTK yet.
-
If armouring gets nerfed, I don't care. If hammers get nerfed, I'll throw a hammer at Bungie HQ.
-
It's fun, but, Defender is better in PvE, Striker is too fun for PvP

Titans #1

Titan strong always

Sending a strong Titan Salute to you sir

BUMP FOR TITAN MASTER RACE
-
I'm used to titans being underpowered. Been that say for a year. Shrug
-
IDK what you're talking about haha. I WRECKED with fist of havoc! Plus I got the timing down for the shock sticks to where I would usually get multi-kills easy. I was even better using the HOW Exotic helmet that granted untouchable (or whatever that perk is where it makes your extremely hard to kill when you initiate your fist) with the ground and pound! I love my Titan and always use him! Plus I'm happy that with TTK I can go back to playing him 100% to level him up vs. trying to rotate my Hunter & Warlock.
-
The thing with Bungie is if they nerf it, it will probably only impact pve, lol. The shotgun nerf had little to no effect in pvp, but they're a lot weaker in pve now.
-
I have one of each character but I main a titan. Love bubble support and enjoy my oh shit fist of havoc button
-
It's not exactly op, but, the only thing I think could use a tone down just a touch, is the hammer tracking. I can still deal with it though. I agree it doesn't need a nerf in most aspects, because it's not always hard to avoid. I do however disagree that titans have been underpowered until ttk. After blade dancer got hit with the shield nerf it started not being too great, and gunslinger I could see because of combustion did kind of a lot of damage, but it's easy to not be so close to somebody you die from combustion. Bubbles are good as a defender now especially because razors edge and shockwave can't go through anymore. I haven't seen any yet, but I don't want to hear warlocks say they're underpowered before ttk because you had ram. You can survive shoulder charge with it, I've seen people with ram take a rocket. All in all, titans weren't underpowered, none of the classes were. You just need to know how to play each class, then you'll be fine. Not trying to anger titans, but I know it might. Fist of havoc was not op, but not underpowered either. Either way, if you're a good player, you're a good player. It's about the gun, and how well you use it. I have no respect for blink shotgun players, or people who use shotties as a primary. Not that I keep dying by them, it just doesn't show skill, and it's kind of trashy. Especially shoulder charge shotgunners.

I've been a Titan since the beta. Have stuck with it ever since. We are the immovable object against the unstoppable force that is the Darkness. I salute you my fellow Titan!
