It's good in pvp but not op. I thought the same thing when I saw that video. It suits his play style really well and he is a good pvp player to start with. I've had some good games with it too and it is very strong where it is meant to be used but definitely not op. Fruit also got a near flawless game with Fabian strategy which no one is really talking about as a very good weapon but it also suits his play style and looked good with him using but it.
