This is so stupid. I paid 100 dollars on destiny. Now I can't play that anymore since I don't have TTK? Really? What the -blam!-. I can't even afford TTK right now. This is bullshit. I can't play destiny the game that so much memories came from and now I can't play it anymore. Is this even legal? Like now CMON. Now I regret buying destiny........
;_;
Edit 1: all of you are -blam!-. How about being in my situation and understand. You probably would be mad too. Stop being ignorant for once and actually think please.
Edit 2: thanks for all the people that are supporting me and actually giving me advice instead of going apeshit on me.
;_;
Edit 3: Thanks for 1221 replies :D. My thread blew up fast. 1221 replies under a day. Thank you all! Much love to you all

Two raids, prison of elders, three crucible playlists, all the legacy strikes and the planets to patrol. Yeah... you have nothing to do. You want more, get the expansion.

Meanwhile at the tower
-
You're taking my brain cells away with your stupidity

If you're lucky, a game like dragon age comes along and you can spend about 120 hours playing the game for about 60 bucks. Destiny has provided everyone with thousands of hours of gameplay for a hundred bucks. A lot of people complain about this game yet spend so much time playing it. -blam!-ing lemmings. You don't have to play it, at all. You can gather your will power, grab your balls and walk away like a gorram adult
-
I agree that Bungie is employing a manipulative money-making strategy here. There's basically a subscription fee even if they don't label it as such. It might be a bit underhanded, but it is certainly legal. Sorry that people are jerks.
-
Dude I suggest buying the taken king. It really is like a whole new game for only forty dollars instead of sixty. I'm saying there's so much to do during the week that I can't even get it all done on one character let alone 2
-
This again, couldn't you just read one of the other hundred posts made about this subject. Yes it is legal, it happens all the time, see wow. Nothing is taken away from you, the end game was moved to the end of the game but all content is still available to play. It's a matter of resources. By catering to you (the non-payer) they are not catering to the vast majority of paying customers and that's bad business. It's not a simple fix, every cost has an opportunity cost associated with it. It sucks, I know. But buck up and buy the taken king. It is worth it. And if you don't have the money, play a free game online. There are plenty. War Thunder?
-
Hence why I didn't buy a fancy edition at launch. I was on the fence about TTK but I said -blam!- it and bought it anyway.
-
Yawn.
-
You can still play. You just don't get the daily or nightfall surely. Maybe miss the vanguard playlists (did people still do them in HoW) You lost a little bit didn't you expect that give how the previous expansions worked.
-
Actually I'm GIVING my money to them in hopes they will make a dlc as good as this one.
-
You have over 20 days played on three. That's about 5 bucks a day, so you got your money worth of the game.
-
From the begging they only ever cared about money.
-
Wait for a sale, buy it = win.

I expect Bungie doesn't want to support prior versions of Destiny forever. They have seen how the servers that support other games have to be around for years after the game release. This is an expense they likely want to avoid. If Destiny is on a 10 year plan as I have seen mentioned and each year they will come out with a significant change like TTK, imagine what they would need in year 7 for example. They would need separate server farms to support the prior 6 years of Destiny. This would be a huge ongoing expense which doesn't generate any income. Unfortunately anyone who doesn't buy the new version will be a victim of it.
-
So is the government. Are you gonna complain about that too?
-
I know what you mean I will be getting ttk but not til I get payed the thing is. All these players saying nothing has been taken away from them game clearly have brought ttk and don't know what the game is like to none ttk players. As a result iv not played destiny like I would do normley and will not do till I buy ttk. There is nothing to do in it apart from pvp without ttk.
-
Hey its cool to be mad I was pissed about it too then I finally broke down bent over and took my $ 40 reach around. I will say its the coolest dlc they have released yet so It might be worth it bc people on here are not smart enough to wait to make a point to bungie or Activision.
-
Hate to say it but..just yesterday..i bought the legendary edition for 9,99. Considering it's only been out for a week and me being a beta guardian i snitched bungie's veteran plans
-
Edited by Front Runner 13: 9/23/2015 11:53:11 PMYes, bungie is taking it all away from us! They showed up at my house and put a gun to my head and made me buy destiny and all the dlc's! SMH

Edited by Tegorian: 9/23/2015 3:05:26 PMPaid 100 bucks got 145+ hours of entertainment still complains when asked to spend 40 more to continue journey. BYE FALECIA

Your situation as I understand it:
knew about the price and release date of TTK for months. Couldn't or didn't manage to save up $40 to buy the dlc. Now blaming other people/companies for your own decisions.
Sorry I'm not sorry.
p.s.-you can make the "they took our nfs!" Argument all you like. It doesn't hold water with me. It's an endgame level activity, you were never going to have access to it without being able to hit the level cap, which means buying the dlc. There's nothing wrong with that.
You can always play destiny you just can't play new content.
-
Is this the same about automakers that make new version of their vehicle every year? Are they taking your money away? Grow up.
