These days, I'm scared by the enemies in Marathon a lot due to the complete lack of ambient noise, rush tactics, and general creepiness of the overall game.

Creepy... For what they do, or according to lore I'd have to say the flood. They rip through your memory, slowly learning everything you know, destroying who you are, and you're constantly in pain, and aware of what they're doing, but there's no way to stop it.

Most of the enemies from dead space. -the blackened babies from 3 -the wall crawl babies from 1,2,3 -the glow handed exploders from 2 (the sound they make I don't really get into horror games, but DS is Sci-fi, so I made an exception. So glad I did.

1 ReplyFor me, it's still the Shadow Babies from Silent Hill, Midwich Elementary School. (I don't know what they're actually called, I've just always called them that.) Close second - blinded ghost in Fatal Frame. Third - Silent Hill nurses. They way they move freaks me out.

The SKULLS Parasite Unit and the Man on Fire. Blam, those guys are creepy.
