Midnight is basically the Guantanamo Bay of the halo universe. It's a major prison where the worst war criminals in the galaxy go. One example of someone who was put in midnight facility was Gek 'Lhar, a servant of Jul 'Mdama who later escaped but was taken out by spartan-4s.
