Oryx was born a girl with two sisters Their race was a-sexual no need for the misters. Tiny and frail they sought to survive They even used space worms to help them to thrive But the worms were so hungry it made their lives rough. Their wisdom and cunning and war weren't enough So oryx killed the sisters and came to the worm And slew the worm too for all the trouble he'd earned And so it became that the darkness had shapen Its new heir and champion, the king of the taken. Oryx brought back the sisters through description and praise And taught them to use darkness with symbols and phrase They waged mighty war against the sky and the orb Hoping in the end, its light they'd obsorb But fail as they did, for the orb had fled Oryx vowed to catch it with much anger and dread For if he should fail, then HE'D be consumed By the hungry worm inside of his tissues. But it promised him wonders and that everything was fine: "You need not be afraid... Oh bearer mine."
