Under the 9/15 Update it's says that the $40 digital version will not be available on the Xbox marketplace for 360. But I bought it the Thursdays afterwards from the Xbox store. So did that mean that what I downloaded wasn't an actual version of the game? If so then why was it out there to begin with?

I didn't buy it from the game directory, I used the link from the emails they sent to buy it. Could that be the reson why it keeps saying "requires the Taken King" cause I didn't by it through the game directory?
