Wrong xD Tether or WoL not needed. We did this with people at 295 and 293. When the field comes down and its time to burn just move closer to him. Staying in the middle like most people say is horrible. It is far enough away from him that you have damage fall offs even with snipers. When we moved closer into him we went from 2600 to 3300

Not wrong. Theres no reason not to have a weapons of light popped right before his chest opens. It's there to quickly stagger him and it's still there after detonating orbs.

Edited by HeadButtYoNut: 9/21/2015 3:07:28 AMThere is no reason to have it. Damage is easy enough to do. And you just have a NS tether the adds. Hell. It's possible to do with a few 293s. It makes it easier yes. Not needed though. It wont reduce the burns needed.

It is absolutely impossible to burn him in 3 turns without it. There is no argument you could possibly make that would promote doing 4 to 5 rotations for a kill because you're too stubborn to use a basic ability.

Oooor. You are just simple minded and feel things have to be done a specific way and no other. Sometimes people want to get things done on their different classes. And I even said. It WONT reduce the amount of burns needed. Regardless. You can kill him in 4 rotations easy without WoL. WoL is not a make or break in any of these fights. Not even close. Even the Ogre who is stupidly easy once 2 people get in sync on bouncing him back and forth does not need WoL and is in no risk of raging without it.

I admit I misread what you said. And actually you are also wrong. None of us had 300 snipers. We had 1 296 and the rest 295-293. We managed to do 4 burn phases easily and honestly on his last burn phase he only had 5% health. A full team of 300 light levels. Easy to do it in 3 burns. We did 6 snipers. Highest was at 297 rest 295. And heavies. Snipers broke him instantly. And we all went to heavies (3 TLs at 296-298). So you really dont need a Titan anyways to do a 3 burn phase. Just the light levels.

But how many fire teams are going to have 6 people at 300 light all with 295+ snipers this week? Not to mention my original reply was to an individual asking for help on this specific part. Not for people looking for an easier way to beat a raid they've already beaten.

Edited by HeadButtYoNut: 9/21/2015 3:33:54 AMEveryone doing Oryx should know to have a 295+ sniper. It is not hard to get. Do strikes for an hour. Likely you will get more then one. Doesnt need to even be legendary. Mine was just a blue. The biggest mistake people do is stay in the middle when they fight him. You move closer to him the damage does go up. Whatever it is with his size -blam!-s up the range scaling. Even a sniper and scout will not do full damage to him from the mid.
