Snipers have may be the most skilled, but do they really have a high learning curve in Destiny, if not, a learning curve at all? Let's see why I believe they need nerfing:
-The ridiculous impact snipers can one shot revived enemies, completely ruining the point of over shields on revives
-Very High Target Acquisition makes head shots extremely easy to get
-Little to No Recoil allows for follow up shots to be extremely easy with little to no effort
-No Sway, allowing players to be completely agile and spam fire while maintaining targets
-No velocity limitations (Why would bungie add Hakkë weapons with velocity buffs, yet there are no limitations/mechanics to make this relevant? This applies to all weapons)
-High rates of fire (Similar to scout rifles)
-Head shot hit boxes are big, allowing for ridiculous one shot kills that shouldn't happen (Neck, shoulder, ect)
-Semi high ROF snipers with all listed above.... Really, Bungie?
-Conspiracy Theory-D
-Can outgun regular CQC weapons because of all listed above
-I recommend Nerfing the salty community as well. Nerf cries are running rampant on things that don't even need it. (In short, don't always listen to the bitching unless you actually looked into it.)
Other than that, they're completely fine and only skilled players can use them, right? (Obvious sarcasm) No, but seriously, something needs to be done about this. Anyone else agree? When you use a sniper the flinch is verry big whem shot. The recoil is also bigger on snipers then on other weapons. So if you see a sniper just shoot him or run away. Also snipers are only a one hit if its a headshot or the target is weakend. They are not usefull in short range, getting a kill on verry short range is because of luck or because the target is verry bad. And with the addition of high RoF low impact snipers, a bodyshot will only take away 100-120 health. So plenty of time to get away.

I hate sniping myself. Its boring to me and im also not very good at it. However I don't have a problem with any of the sniper guns. They don't cause much of a problem to me. I simply avoid them when possible and try to flank them. Plus my pulse rife will usually win the battle for me. More often than not. I say leave them alone.

The one weapon type with the most situational use, which requires more careful aiming than anything else should be high reward. I guarantee for each good sniper, there are 10 people running around with sniper rifles getting no kills with them while trying to get good with the weapon. I bet if we could see statistics, we'd see fusions, shotguns, and sidearms each netting far more kills than snipers... Something should be done indeed.

Snipers are perfectly fine. Getting shot with a 50 caliber bullet should kill you. Also no land beyond is the only bolt action sniper and if you are using that over any other sniper you've got a problem

Planetside 2 had probably the best implementation of snipers that I have played in a broad spectrum FPS (not counting a super specialist game like sniper elite). Sway, breathing, full bullet ballistics, many many different sights with different functionalities, proper long ranges way above regular guns but corresponding weaknesses meaning no close in snapshotting.

I believe snipers are finally reaching a point of balance with other special weapons and at the moment are perfectly fine in 3v3 playlists. In 6v6 they are still under represented. In other games when sniping has increased difficulty it's usually because one of two things snipers kill in one shot anywhere (cod) or the sniper can snipe at a distance without being contested by primary weapon fire (battlefield). Now to meet your sarcasm head on with a genuine question. Zfan1 if snipers are so easy to use and take little skill why do you have [b]572 sniper kills[/b] compared to [b]5,551 shotgun kills[/b] and a grand total of [b]3 sniper kills this month[/b]?

As a part time crucible player I find the majority of time people are shooting players from long distances. I know that snipers are supposed to hit you from long distance so I don't understand. They are meant to kill from very long ranges, and they do that really well. So they are not abused, and I think you are just mad because someone outplayed you with a sniper because they are just not op in crucible. Snipers are just balanced now that final round is no longer a thing.
