1 ReplyWait, wasn't rugby the wealthy version of football? You know why American football is called football right? The wealthy played on horses. The commoners were too poor to play on horses, therefore had to use their [b][u]feet[/u][/b] to play, hence football.

Both are pretty brutal sports. I suppose it depends on what you were brought up with which determines your preference. Personally I prefer rugby league, but still enjoy watching rugby union, soccer and NFL.
