Dear Bungie,
I'm baffled. I understand that Oryx is a god and all, but not even gods can morph into a beast 10x their original size. How does someone (or something rather) get killed and magically grow 100 feet tall; it doesn't make any sense. Were my bullets laced with steroids or something? Despite its insignificance , its a recurring paradox throughout the game. Take Crota's sword for example. When you wield it during the quest line its scaled to fit in your guardians hands, right? Yet in the raid its reincarnated into a weapon of mass destruction. Care to explain the discrepancies between the quest and raid story lines? I ask solely out of curiosity ( and a love of the lore). Any response would be greatly appreciated!
P.s. The Taken King is amazing, good job :)

Seen plenty of films and games where Gods can increase and decrease their size at will

Short Version: His sword is super powerful, when we defeated him in the story, he absorbed all the energy in his sword- that's why it crumbled into dust, and why he seems so powerful in the raid.

Space magic. Its a fantasy game. Its realy not necessary to put real life logic or constraints on it.

He gets so big because he is no longer bound to the physical realm. Basically, he was a jar of gas, and smashing that glass let him morph into whatever form he wanted and expand/grow.

At the end of taken king story missions at the last cut senes you see oryx take himself
