I tried in game and from the marketplace

In game there are 3 options, code, purchase and collectors....the middle option was the $40 option for me.

When I press on the middle option it just takes me back to the planet select screen

They may have disabled it due to the terms and multiple account usage on a single console that seems to be an issue. (see other posts)

It's like they won't let people buy the 40$ version without a direct code, but the 60$ and 80$ versions are available
