I'm just wondering if anyone still bothers doing VoG or Croata's End? I'd understand if the majority opinion was "no" since most of the gear probably doesn't do much for anybody that's at endgame now, but I'd think it'd be fun to try and breeze through them at lvl 40.
EDIT: Glad to see the response is mostly in favour of still doing them. Lot of people, like myself included, are still hungry to try and find the last few pieces of gear for their collections. Hopefully this gets a lot people interested, since each raid can only be looted once per week, and I'd be bored as shit myself constantly waiting on King's Fall if I complete it early on.
Edit 2: Forgot to throw this in, but my gamertag is the same as my name for people looking to hook up on 360.

Edited by DevilishHomo: 9/24/2015 7:12:21 PMI still like doing old raids when people in my Clan invite me, I might not get things that help could help me with Taken King, but I still have shaders and emblems to unlock. Even when it was year one I only ever got asendent shards lmao
-
Yes I'm still missing a lot of crota guns and a single VoG guns
-
Crazy how the boss fight in crota is now meager public event on the dreadnought. We were trolled with tdb.
-
It's funny people use to HATE only getting shards and now that's all they want from it lol awe the good ole days
-
If I could get modern light level raid gear, yes.
-
Honestly i did the vog with my 2 other friends and we were having such a blast with our new gear
-
Does anyone know if year 2 ish drops from the chests?
-
why do CE when crotas on the dreadnaught now. lol
-
Edited by Mr. Bunga Dunga: 9/24/2015 5:19:17 PMOh hell yes! Although it's pretty sad that when we did CE, one of the guys we played with said this was the first time he did it legitimately. We finished it in roughly 15 min.

Edited by Dawkness360: 9/24/2015 5:05:00 PMI still need the vmc and nechro to complete my yr1 collection so yes Edit:it would be nice to have a lvl 40/280 night fall version for a guaranteed vmc/crux drop though
-
Aye, my group still do Crota; did HM in a record 25 mins (for us, anyway). VoG somehow manages to take far longer than it should even now but we do venture in every week.
-
Yeah, I was able to do Crota's End on Hard in less than half an hour with 4 people.
-
Yes, add me :-) I love raids!
-
If you have the time, crota is super fast and yields a lot of materials that can be converted to motes or glimmer with speaker. I plan on stockpiling these now so when Iron Banner rolls around I have stockpiles of glimmer or motes at my disposal.
-
Hell yeah do you even have to ask
-
might do it for legendaries to dismantle for the gunsmith bounties
-
Crota yeah, for the black hammer so I can dismantle it for the black hammer rune, and for the crux of crota so I can get nechrocasm
-
If definitely gonna go shit on skolas (even though he's not a raid). He was a real pain in the ass with all those ads spawning and his instakill cannon back when he first came out.
-
They are a great source of ascendant and radiant material that can be made into motes of light. Id say they can still be useful and fun
-
I ususally solo crota one a week as a warm up. Not really any reason to play VoG since i have the vex, ship and sparrow and finding a group can take a while.
-
Crota: new ghost and Eris rep... So yes
-
Definitely.
-
We could easily farm the materials. I wouldn't be opposed to doing them again but haven't had the time.
-
Nostalgia. The glory days. #raidcherrypopped

I will be, I missed out on VoG and have friends who have never raided, we will be going into VoG to get some teamwork going this weekend hopefully. You can compare Crotas End to the new story missions and it looks completely flat, as a raid it looks a bit silly. Will still venture in there from time to time, but I want a full Vog gear set for my vault.
-
Welp i just 2 manned hard crota sooo. Yes
