...is what some people say and complain about. It isn't and anyone with a functioning brain could use it in its current form. However, the UI isn't currently as responsive as the 360's so it did need improving.
Watch the video linked if you already own an Xbox One or were thinking of getting one. Though the video is about preview members we will all be getting the new UI later this year.
Preview members remember to change your membership on the preview dashboard to the new experience for a chance to get your hands on the UI early.
What are your thoughts on the new UI if you watched the video or have used it?
Edit:
I have had access to the new UI for a few weeks now and there are a few annoying problems. The UI itself is much faster and once the glitches are sorted it is an improvement over the last version and I think those that haven't used it will like the changes.
-
Your MS fanboyism is showing as usual. The XB1 UI is comprehensively awful at the current time.
-
My xbone has turned itself off about a dozen times since I've been using this new UI.
-
No, it's -blam!-ing trash. Completely convoluted, and everything has been turned to apps which crash every five -blam!-ing minutes. Not to mention it doesn't have even half of the features of the 360 dash. "Usable" shouldn't be praise in 20--blam!-ing-15.

Bane Bane Bane I'm happy fo ya and imma let you finish But Windows Vista had one of the BEST UI's of all time, OF ALL TIME
-
why cant we agree that this one is the best ever designed dashboard.
-
The current UI is a pile of dogshit, and my least liked UI in existence. Luckily, the new UI coming up looks like an improvement, but I have heard that are some bugs and issues.
-
Watched the video about 2-3 days ago. I like the update, the UI completely bad, just slow and unresponsive, and really it's not hard to navigate it. But the new dash is needed.
-
It's just the Windows 10 Xbox app.
-
That's some serious bate old sport, serious bate.
-
The new UI looks great in my opinion. It reminds me of the Xbox App, on Windows 10, which I honestly preferred using over the current Xbox One UI. Like you said, anyone with a functioning brain can use the current UI. It's just super cluttered, and annoying. The Windows 8 styled UI is basically designed for tablets.
-
Ui is a stupid thing to complain about. Yeah it could always be better but as long as i know where everything is im fine with it.
inb4 called a ms fanboy
-
Bane are you a preview member
-
No. It's just a standard pc UI. If you are use to pc's then it's normal. Just means it's not special.
-
Well, got my neck. Abort thread.

Edited by Juice: 9/23/2015 5:58:53 PMIt's not bad it's just too slow in the wrong places, slower than the 360. For instance inviting all recent players doesn't even exist, quick invite doesn't exist, loading profiles takes too long then you have to get to the invite. Parties take so long to start and leave, too long to invite people to.
-
I was going to changed it but read that some users may have some issues or games not working properly in this phase. Can anyone here say they had any problems with the new ui before I try it out?
-
Microsoft UI has always been terrible, the new one is an improvement but let's be honest, anything is on the one's current UI, they need a complete overhaul of the template they use because it's simply too cluttered.
-
Hey, Bane have you got your hands on the new ui yet?
-
So they've decided to put settings under settings now? Clever bastards! I hated every minute of it. Even down to checking the time which I used to be able to press the guide button, time pops up, press the guide button, I'm back in my game. Xbox one; hell no mother -blam!-er, you ain't gonna have easy access to no clock. The current one makes zero damn sense, with related items being all over the place and a whole host of shit I will NEVER use filling up my screen. I'm glad they're changing it. I may even eventually buy one.

Edited by Azraels Sorrow: 9/22/2015 1:04:22 PMI already opted in for the early preview. It looks great. Honestly, if they improve the time it takes to start or join a party I'll be happy. Everything else is just icing on the cake.
-
Edited by SGT Bronson: 9/22/2015 5:21:45 PMI'd just rather it go back to the Xbox 360 style. All that extra power and it feels like the UI took a step backwards. Edit; the new UI looks pretty good though. Looking forward to getting it on the preview program.

Gross who else will sell there Xbox when this comes out
-
Honestly once you see it's flaws, you get used to it
-
You made clickbait whilst I was gone.
-
I like it. I just hope there are still customizable backgrounds.
-
So do I just go to my Preview App to enable this or what.
