Ok guys, he's back,in.....Green? Test of the Sage Knight, chapter two Chief stood there, next to the burning fire that glimmered in the night. His hands covered in blood and dust. His armor seriously damaged, cracked and warped. He reached his now exposed hand to the back of his helmet. Still no chip, just like when he checked before. She was gone. And he was broken. Mentally and physically. "-blam!-ing guardians" He said to himself. He could hear their vehicles in the distance. They were coming. And he was ready. Chief drew his magnum, and his newly acquired revolver. The so called "Last word". Chief took his position behind the rubble of a crippled building. And thought of the moments that lead to this unexpected turn of events.... [i]6 Hours earlier[/i] Chief landed with a thud, dirt and dust covered the air in his wake. The rest of fireteam Zulu, still screaming. Landed in a less uniformed manner. Chief turned to see them all twisted together, each of their limbs fighting to break free. " Goddamnith! Move your atheth!" Jarick barked at the other two guardians on top of his mangled body. Chief looked back at the enemy, which had diverted all of their previous attention to their marauding antics to fireteam Zulu. The walker stood before chief, its large cannon aimed straight at him. He then heard a loud hum and noticed a faint light erupting from its barrel. "Ohh Chief! We've got trouble!" "Move, Now!" Chief ordered to the guardians, still tangled within each other. Quip looked at the walker, watching as it took aim at the pile of bodies. The Fallen leader, still standing atop the walker. Barked what appeared to be an order to his soldiers in his alien tongue. Quip then hurried to try and break free of his comrades, jarick still spraying spit all over his visor while ordering his comrades off of him. As Shin struggled silently. The hum of the walker's cannon grew louder. The light growing brighter. "Move!" Chief ordered again. The fallen leader raised all four of his arms into the air, barking another order. "Aw split my dick and call me Caitl-" The cannon fired. Chief jumped to cover. And fireteam Zulu erupted into a mess of limbs and blood. Quip couldn't even finish his joke. "What the hell?!" Cortana yelled, completely caught off guard by what just transpired. Chief wiped the blood from his visor. He then noticed what appeared to be the right arm of Quip Rosco beside him. His middle finger extended. "Huemahn!" The Fallen leader yelled. "Cahn you hear me?! I am Crawmerax! I am your destroyer! And you will die, just as they did!" "Well, at least he's straight forward.. Chief, what do we do?!" Cortana asked him, worry in her voice. "We need t-" "We're noth dead yeth, Mother-blam!-er!" Chief turned to see jarick, who appeared as if nothing happened to him! He stood there, wielding a large rifle, its barrel made it look like it could be used for excavation rather than a firearm. "Leth's break the ithe, Bith!" Jarick fired at Crawmerax, catching him in the chest. Causing him to be thrown from the top of the walker. Chief then heard what sounded like airhorns being played on the battlefield. The other Fallen fired their weapons, which appeared to emit plasma based rounds. Jarick fired two more shots, taking two more fallen soldiers to the ground before taking cover next to chief. More airhorns sounded. "We need reinforcements." Chief said to jarick keeping his head down from the incoming fire. "Don'th worry, the otherth are rethpawning" "Respawning?" Chief then saw words appear at the bottom of his HUD. "Shin Malphur has respawned" "Quip Rosco has respawned" Quip and Shin reappeared, they too had no signs of being blown up. Shin had his revolver drawn, firing at enemies with tremendous speed. Quip had what appeared to be a rocket launcher, though it was much larger than any UNSC heavy weaponry Chief had used. It's body gold and white. The launcher was heavily decorated. "And call me Caitlyn!" Quip screamed as he fired at the walker. The rocket screamed through the air at it collided with the walkers armor, punching a hole in the metal beast. A massive explosion erupted, and cluster rounds sped across the area decimating even more of the Fallen forces. The walker was no more. Quip and Shin then joined the others behind cover. "What's the plan?" Shin asked, the first words he had spoken since the battle started. "Thpray and pray bithes, thpray and pray thath RNGesus bletheth our drop rathes" "Wait, we need t-" "Come on bitches! I got synth for days!" Quip yelled as he ran out of cover, firing at the enemy forces. "I thwear if I don'th geth a Ghallajorn" Jarick said to himself as he too charged the enemy forces. With shin following in silence. "John, we're surrounded by idiots" Cortana said, sounding more confused than ever. "Let's just get this done" Chief said, as he jumped from behind cover and rushed a Fallen soldier. The Fallen saw him as he ran forward, its eyes lit up in fear. "Wort wort, Wort?... [b]WOOOOOOR-[/b]" Chief smashed into it's face, breaking its neck and sending it flying back into the rubble of destroyed buildings. Quip was staring at chief in awe of what he had just done. "How much Red Bull do you drink?!" Quip was quickly cut off by an attacking Fallen. Chief, took cover again. Trying to think up a strategy in this ensuing chaos. Chief then heard a voice, other than Cortana's, inside his head. "[i]redbull, it gives you wings![/i]" To be continued!
