I have to beg to differ on that. Most MCs nowadays are way better and have way more tech than the 90s rappers. The only rappers getting technical back then were the Bone Thugs and select circles of hip hop, like the rappers out of Memphis.

The problem here is that a new genre has cropped up over the last decade and a half, namely, [i]Hip Pop[/i]. Which is basically the mainstream scene, [b][i]which represents only a small fraction of the genre as a whole.[/i][/b]
I probably wouldn't go as far as asserting that rappers are way better, but I don't really think there's been a decline.
