I bought the taken king and my brother uses it fine but I can't use it on the same Xbox. Help?

Your not alone. This is an issue across all 3 platforms. 360/one/ps3/ps4. There are several threads attempting to get a better answer to this question. Dig around a bit and see what others have posted. I myself have a very similar issue. Sorry I can't link anything for you but we are around.
