Three of Coins now provides a smaller increase in Exotic Engram drop chance when rapidly killing Ultras
When used with more time between kills (for example, on Strike bosses), they remain as effective as before.
So good news, the drop rate has decreasted when RAPIDLY farming Ultra, but still drops. But a HIGHER drop rate can be done from doing longer things like strikes.
So quick farmers get to farn and drop enhancers get to drop faster.
EVERYONE WINS FOR ONCE. GOOD SHOW BUNGIE. (Wow, there's a sentence I ain't said in a while)

Why is this a problem to you crybabys? First you nerf the vex because you suck at the game then you nerf the -blam!-ing gally? The hell is wrong with you guys?! This three coins glitch aint a problem to you your probably just pissed because you got no exotics and want everyone else to get exotics "your way" -blam!- you
-
Congratulations you shot the horse at the front of a good cart!
-
No the drop rate is the same as it used to be when doing it slowly. Just decreased when rapid.
-
So there's basically a speedy way, and an efficient way now?
-
EVERYONE WINS FOR ONCE. GOOD SHOW BUNGIE
How is that a win? If you have something good and The Man decreases the quality of that item, most would argue you've lost more than you've gained.
-
-
-blam!- yeah!!!!!!! good news
-
As long as bungie didn't lie (unfortunately they have a bad rep at this point with that) I'm actually happy with this change.
-
Three of Coins is just another way for Bungie to keep guardians grinding. I know I did and got a few exotics but they know what they are doing and they are hoping we all go broke on coins and that means what........more grinding.
-
I fully agree with this thread. Bungie needs to do something but honestly the 3 of coins are nice for some and horrid to others. I averaged an exotic engram every 9-10 coins. Yeah some people get lucky and even get them back to back. But with the nerf people like me won't even buy the stupid things. Getting a duplicate after spending 10 coins is so disappointing.
-
I never understood why people hated exotic farming. If they wanna farm who cares. Doesn't change you. It may raise your salt levels for no reason.
-
Yeah I'm impressed, that's a very good compromise. Nicely done, keep it up.
-
Ikr, this is a great decision by bungie

Edited by sprinbok: 9/25/2015 1:54:09 AMThing is I didn't get that many from draksis anyway the drop rate wasn't that great it was just the volume .they should've kept it the same and just made them more expensive.i see very little point in buying them at all now
-
Easy, buy whatever new loot from Xur if you don't have it already. If you still have coins to spare buy "3 of Coins". Hop onto the Heroic playlist and pop a coin as you begin the strike. Now farm the strikes, after each strike just use a coin if the boss didn't drop an exotic or if the buff is gone (check character screen). I usually do like 10-15 strikes so I'll get at least 2 exotics that way, hopefully more. Also, let's not forget the legendaries you'll get throughout strikes.
-
It's only bad cause we figured this out before 3 of coins even dropped
-
Classic Bungie, closing the barn door after the engrams have already gotten out. Glad I plucked my goodies early as Cozmo suggested.
-
No...It does not work at all. It just wasting strange coins. Better buying engram or Exotic from Xur. Wasting 20 coins in regular and heroic strikes...none. I got TLW 2.0 from last week NF, I used the ToC but it was on activity reward..not from engram and I already have the gun...so basically I got an exotic shard.
-
Honestly that shit was game breaking and they should get rid of those coins asap.
-
so you cannot read. remain as effective as before is not the same as increased drop rate.
-
I think they should buff them.
-
It's definitely still worth using. I just did 4 strikes and got 2 exotic drops.
-
ITS ALL A LIE!!! https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/156207265/0/0
-
I think this is fair, usually I just use one at the end of each heroic strike I do
-
Leave drop rates alone, and timers are lame; simply limit/cap the number of ToC that can be purchased from Xur while he's here.
-
A cool down would solve everything.
