Anyone on 360 who can't access the Legendary Edition content, you just need to delete your game and re-download the Legendary Edition download again, ignoring the disc, since this includes the actual game. After you'll be able to download the game and its content that you purchased
I don't know why it wasn't mentioned anywhere that we had to do this, since if we had just 1 of the previous DLCs, this was the only option to get The Taken King and it doesn't work without deleting your current game

All of it. The Legendary Edition has the base game, so you can only download it if you delete the disc version

I got the dics version on 360 and only used the taken king code on xboxs live ,not on the ingame prompt. It downloaded but I can't play, says I need to purchase the taken king?

If you got the Legendary Edition then the actual download for it is the entire game, which obviously takes a while because it's huge. If your download was fast, chances are you didn't actually download it yet. That was the problem I had, hence I had to reinstall the entire thing again. Contact xbox support on their chat if you don't fix it, it's the best thing you can do
