So, I'm about to play some Skyrim now.
I haven't had the game installed for quite sometime so it's about time to make a new character.
So, my question is, what kind of playstyle this time around do you people think I should have?
I have played a lot of Archer and Destruction mage before, I've tried to do some one handed sword and shield but I feel the melee combat isn't too satisfying in Skyrim.
Also, if anyone know any good combat mod, please recommend them to me!
-
Dual swords are awesome! A lot more satisfying than the two handed stuff.
-
Play as Corvo Atano
-
One handed+dual wielding+decapitation=so satisfying.
-
Go 2h. It's great.
-
Go to Blackreach and Fus Ro Dah the big light in the middle hanging from the ceiling. You'll get 50,000 gold. You have to be lower than rank 10 for it to work.
-
I personally like light armor, one handed, with restoration spells
-
Breton Mage clothing or enchanted light armour One hand have a mace One hand conjuration Magic Now you're a necromancer
-
I did that a few months ago. Dusted off the 360 and fired up Skyrim. After about 20 minutes I was done. It was slow and clunky to play. Not as cool as I remembered. Sadness.

Sounds to me like it's time for you to try out a Heavy Armor Two Handed Weapon Warrior. The Greatsword has some of the coolest looking cinematic executions in the game.
-
Necromancy is fun

Ask and you shall receive my friend.... Combat Evolved. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56147/? Ultimate Combat. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36006/?

Try an illusion build. Use Fury to make them kill each other. And maybe necromancy to raise the bodies of the enemies just killed.
-
Spell sword is a good character type. But in reality, you can play as all of the character types. I like to rotate through them, and it's a ton easier when you are able to reallocate your perk points on solstime.

All 3 of these are good; not sure if they're compatible with one-another because I only ever use one at a time, but they very well might be. You can play in any way, it doesn't make a difference in gameplay :^]
You can check out Brodual's Channel for combat mod showcases or mods in general if you want. My suggestion; non-lethal thief 'Blunt' weapons only; fists, maces can be used to 'knock people out (still considered killing in game but restrictions can make games fun); no twohanded weapons, (cross)bow only used to distract or weaken foes not to kill them Being sneaky, stealing stuff, and selling it Being greedy Maybe learn Alchemy Is allowed to kill non-humans and undead You should install a sneaking overhaul if you're atually going to do that. If you install some mods you can actually resolve some fights nom-lethally; for example a mod that makes people give up a fight when they're brought to their knees
Night blade Illusion spells and assasin style use illusion spells to muffle your movements and eventually turn invisinle all while using nows and daggers to take out your apponent silently. Or i would suggest orc or nord plus werewolf if you're an orc use beserker mode and then beast form you will still have beserker bonuses when you're a werewolf. Both these styles come into their own mid game but are both useful out the gate.

I would say archer but you already have some that
-
playing battle mage is pretty fun. sword in one hand and destruction spells in the other.
