I don't know about you, but if I get just 6 months out of a game, I feel pleased with the product. There are many games in my life I've bought for $60. And played for maybe a month. Was I dissapointed with them? No, not at all. Games like Portal 2, Dishonored. Dead Space series, Skyrim, Fallout, and plently more have been more than worth their price and have only really given me between 3-6 months play time, and thats stretching it for a few examples. Destiny doesnt ask a lot. $140 for keeping me and millions of other players entertained for over a year now? That sounds like value to me. What the hell else can I spend $140 on that will keep me entertained for literally hundreds of hours? I will keep giving money to this game, because I'm not going to let some twisted ideology of how I think the gaming industry should be get in the way of my personal enjoyment for how the game industry truly is.
