I don't know about Norton, have not used it for at least 20 years because it seemed too resource hungry. I use ESET Nod32, pay for a two or three year license and get precisely what was promised when ESET made their offer to me for the period described. They have never within months of my purchase locked me out of any of the features of what I originally purchased - unless I paid them more money for a new and enhanced version of their product. Bungie/Activision do not specify a time period for which you should expect to enjoy all of the content you have purchased. In the absence of such a specification the duration should be "reasonable". In my case, Bungie/Activision defined reasonable as five months for the vanilla, two months for the Dark Below and less than one month for House of Wolves. Fortunately both Amazon and Microsoft have agreed with me that the durations were not reasonable and to refund me in full for for my purchases. They, no doubt, will substract those refunds from their payments to Bungie/Activision. My chat with the Microsoft Manager was interesting, he was very interested in my account of what Bungie/Activision had done. I felt afterwards there was a clear knowledge at Microsoft that Bungie/Activision have created a problem for them. Amazon refunded immediately; initial operator at Microsoft was clueless and I had to ask to chat to a manager. To be honest, my friends and I were going to continue playing, especially Dark Below and House of Wolves for a few months before purchasing Taken King. But when we realised we were locked out of playing missions/strikes on a higher level and that it was impossible to go beyond 34 without TTK, we decided it was time to get off this hamster wheel.
