I Stopped Paying for Netflix and Now I Can't Watch Movies, RIPOFF!
So I've paid for Netflix for an entire year! I've invested so much time into Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, I even grinded every episode of Friends last month! Now, I log in today and all of it is gone! I can't even watch movies that I have been able to watch for a full year!
I don't get it. I've been a loyal customer for a year, and just because I stopped paying, I get locked out of content. Well I wont be giving them my business anymore, scammers.[spoiler]Do you get it now?[/spoiler]
EDIT 1: I seem to be getting a lot of similar replies, usually directed at claiming Destiny is not a "subscription" service and that we the players "own" the game. I'm sorry boys and girls, we do not own anything. We paid for a liscence to access Destiny's content; content which is subject to change or even be removed for those who don't update their liscence. This was all outlined in the EULA you blindly accepted a year ago.

EDIT 3: Jesus this is still going, this is fantastic. It looks like the verdict is roughly about 50/50 on people agreeing with me, or calling me some derivative of the word retard. To each their own I guess. I'd hope you guys get this worked up when Norton Antivirus tries to charge you for updates, and then removes features when you don't pay. Because, you know, you bought a disk, so you're clearly entitled.

even with your quoting of the EULA, I still think it's a bad analogy, but whatever. Moving on, no game I have ever heard of takes away content. Even MMOs, you can still play everything you paid for even if you don't buy the next expansion. Bungie's been dancing on the edge of shady business practices for all of year one, and this is just the latest slimy deal they've screwed us with. But leaving all that behind, the bigger problem here is that before TTK launched, we KNEW we were getting screwed yet again, and people still bought it, not only that, they pre-ordered digital content AND some even re-bought the whole game over again just for some new cosmetic items. Now there is no reason for them to changes how they do business, becasue they know people will buy it no matter what. It's like hulu. When it started, there were very little commercials. Then they added hulu plus for $7.99, still with some ads, but it kept more episodes. Suddenly regular hulu had more commercials. Now, a totally new service with no ads is being added for $11.99. I bet hulu plus regular and hulu will get even more commercials, or some other thing will be added in or taken away to encourage people to upgrade to the $11.99 service. Like Destiny, you could argue that they have "taken away" the experience by adding in more commericals and a more ad free plan that many argue should be the $7.99 version. Hulu, like destiny,, has every right to do this, but it's still bad business. They will (and have) had complaints,, but people are still going to buy the new plan even though ad free should be in the $7.99 package. TL;DR version - bungie has every right to do what they did, but it's still shady and slimy business, much like what Hulu is doing with the new ad free plan.
