You can't do even 1/2 of what you could before. You can't Lv up, you can't do any daily activities (crucible or strikes), can't do weekly nightfall, can't buy new vendor gear, can't even do some quests that should utilize the free content (the faction quest for the exotic). Every reason to play the game is now behind a pay wall.
