UPDATE: the "life exotic" perk has been added to the items, problem resolved When the first information for the Taken King came out and I saw the gear included in the collector’s edition, I instantly wanted the hunter cloak because I thought it looked awesome This was before we knew class items would have perks or that the class items would be exotic. So when I got my collector’s edition gear I was conflicted. I wanted to wear the cloak to look awesome but then I couldn’t use my best combination of gear using my other exotics (( I will talk mostly about the exotic cloak because that’s what I use, but I want this for all the collector’s edition exotic class items as I know that many titans and warlocks are in the same boat as me )) Every other exotic class item we know about has the “the life exotic” perk that allows it to be worn with other exotics [armory]Mark of Oblivion[/armory] [armory]Mark of the Circle[/armory] [armory]Mark of the Executor[/armory] [armory]Chaos Cloak[/armory] [armory]Cloak of Oblivion[/armory] [armory]Cloak of the Rising[/armory] [armory]"Circle of War"[/armory] [armory]"Light Beyond"[/armory] [armory]"The Age to Come"[/armory] Literally every other class item in the game can be worn with exotics EXCEPT the ones people payed for The simplest solution would be to add “the life exotic” perk to the collector’s edition class items I can understand why that might cause problems because they already have an exotic perk for “subclass upgrades 25% faster and your Level increases 10% faster.” But once your guardian is level 40 and the new subclass is ranked up that perk will be useless Which is why I suggest when a guardian, their subclass and the exotic class item itself are fully leveled then we were given the option to “infuse” the class item to change the exotic perk to “the life exotic” perk so we can wear them whenever we want Now I understand why those that didn’t pay for the collector’s edition content would be upset about us getting an advantage with the ability to wear the exotic class item with other exotics But for me I don’t care about the class item’s “exoticness” If the cloak was legendary or under and had terrible perks I’d still wear it because I think it looks AWESOME. I just want the looks of the purple and black cloak with crossed arrows on it So another thing that could be done is release a legendary version of the class items with regular class item perks. It could even be released in a way where people that didn't buy the collector's edition can get these legendary versions (like if everyone got it through a quest) Those that want the class items for looks get to wear them, the items aren’t OP, everyone’s happy please vote in the poll if you agree with me and comment with your own ideas
