A playlist with difficulty modifiers that utlises the latest max-level, whatever that happens to be at the time.
Maybe because I and others have played games like this before. This is nothing new.
If they decided to go [i]against[/i] this philosophy in the future and sell a "playlist pack"? That's well within their rights. I'd probably stop playing. But content wouldn't have been [i]taken away[/i] from me. Because I know the difference between content and features.

I have played plenty of games (mainly MMOs) that do this - if you don't buy the next expansion, then you will not be able to do things you were able too before. Honestly, I believe alot of these people who complain come from CoD or Halo, where if you don't buy DLC, you still be able to play the entire game.
