Destiny is a physical game that I bought... If say AC4 had a dlc, I'm not locked out of things I could do before but in destiny I probably won't be able to do iron banner, trials, nightfall, weekly and the game mode I would like to play in crucible like I used to. There isn't any dark below crucible play list or house of wolves play list like I thought I paid for. Yes I understand that the terms of service only allowed players permission to the game and not the ability to own it. But that's a real dick move in my opinion, I mean who reads the bs long terms of service? And just because I won't buy more I am having things taken away... its what I agreed to but it's stupid af

It's online content isn't a physical disc.
-
Did you just completely ignore the whole post. I said I THOUGHT I had purchased the game...
-
Im sitting on the crapper. I saw one line, and stopped reading. Ha
-
You bought a license to use the game, not the game itself. No one here owns the game, regardless of the distribution media.
I mean who reads the bs long terms of service?
Informed consumers, for one. Anyone who licenses any kind of content and does not read the license has no one to blame but the mirror.

Would you rather they allow you to enter the Nightfall and get beaten senseless by ?? level enemies? The game is evolving and changing, and the endgame content is going with it. You either have to go along or go without. You can still do all the story missions, Vault of Glass, Strikes, pretty much everything but the new endgame content. That content has evolved with us, the people who merged into the new Destiny. You want the old Destiny, that's fine. But the endgame content HAS to come with us.

Say you don't have any access to the higher level gear and play iron banner or trials. What will happen is that you'll get murdered online. The upgrade is worth it. I already have my $40 worth and more.
-
I understand that the update is amazing, but I'm not buying ttk as a self restraint. College is starting soon and my parents are worried I'll be distracted
-
I can understand that. I do get your frustration - maybe they will release a legacy control and iron banner? How do you manage that technically speaking? You'd have to block TTK users from the playlists where level matters and vice versa. I think it's hard to now manage what would be two separate games running concurrently.
-
Agreed, it's hard but not impossible... I don't get the least bit respect from bungie because I paid 100 not 140. Instead I get "classic 6v6" which are words filled with noobies and negativity when compared to the new taken king game modes. I can't even get elimination, trials iron banner bc I have to pay more...
-
I can totally see it from your point of view.. But you should buy it dude, it's worth the money..
-
I want to but college is starting for me soon and my parents are worried about me distracting myself... I don't even have access to the money I earned, I am forced to save.
-
You're starting college and your parents are still deciding things for you? Doesn't sound like a solid plan for life. If you're that addicted to a game or get distracted that easily life is gonna kick you in the balls hard. I work 120 hours every two weeks and slide in a few hours here and there. If you can't manage entertainment with real life, stick to real life.
-
Lol you won't believe when I tell you I'm starting college as a junior in high school... I'm allowed to take college courses full time at a nearby college for free. And yeah what you said is exactly what I'm trying to do, stick to real life bc this game is way too addicting...
-
Congrats to you then. I had a few kids from junior high taking high school classes when I was in school. Just find a balance. Get your work done then use your free time the way you see fit.
-
Wow that sucks.. Thought you Americans loved freedom.. Not your parents apparently. Jk hope you get to play it some time soon
-
Lol I live in America but I'm not a free American. Thanks, I hope I do too...
-
Ever hear of a game called world of warcraft? They have discs too.
-
There's a difference between purchase and subscription. You can PURCHASE a game digitally or on a disc, and when you have, you own the game and you decide what you want to do with it and no one can take it away from you. When you subscribe you are granted access to something that is owned buy someone else in exchange for money. Apparently I didn't purchase this game, I just had a 100 dollar year long subscription. That's why I am unhappy...
-
Which you would have known if you read the EULA you blindly clicked accept to. Those things exist for a reason bro. You paid to access an ever-changing platform that could remove content at a whim without continued purchase as per the discretion of Bungie. Next time you'll read.
-
Honestly, ain't nobody got time for that -_- At the time I was just excited to play the game, I wouldn't have cared... and I can't get a refund for a hard disc anyway...
-
You do know you have to PURCHASE the WoW expansions too right? And you can buy them on discs, which is the point I'm making. And you still can't play it, unless on top of it all, you pay subs. It's actually worse than this game.
-
Eh I guess. So the people who made WoW are dicks too, point made. Doesn't excuse bungie and destiny, the game I like.
-
No, they expect to be paid as long as you play the game. $60 isn't going to cut 10 years of support.
